This doesn't happen that often- most people use a dehydrator but I just made some chocolate clusters that I put in the freezer and they are pretty good. Basically you can use shredded coconut and combine it with nut butter and add the flavorings you like like raisins, cherries etc and freeze. You could also use soaked oat groats as a base.
Another interesting thing is the Essenes used to make their bread by mixing sprouted grains and then leaving them on a warm rock and slowly "cooking" them in the sun.
Hey I just made some cacao\coconut\carob clusters from the book "Raw Food Real World by Sarma Melngailis.
The recipe is 3 Cups coconut- shredded
1 1\2 Cup cacao (I used half carob)
1 cup maple syrup, agave, or honey
1\2 tsp sea salt
1\3 cup coconut butter
1 tbs vanilla extract or bean
All you do is mix it all up and make balls and freeze till you want to iuse it. This is Sarmas recipe but I split it in half and made one half traditional and one half with half a cup of pecans, half a cup of raisins, 1 tsp cinnamon and zest from one orange. It was great!
Do you have a gas or electric oven? I have heard that that the pilot light on most gas ovens runs at about 100 -115 degrees. I am not sure about that though. I have an electric oven and discovered that if I leave the oven light on it warms the oven to about 100 degrees...it takes a little longer to dehydrate things....but it works. =)
I need to wait until it gets a bit longer, my hair is pretty curly and straightening it is a hassle. At this rate though, I'll be roaming the woods in my nuddy pants in no time.
I would not know what to say when it's my 10 minutes. I like the idea of without interruption though...then I can listen without feeling a need to respond to not make it seem like im not interested when I am
