Give it to me Raw

Lately I have seen an increase in negativity and hostility in the raw food community and I’m concerned. I have always told my non-raw friend how much I enjoyed working with the people in the raw community because of all the positive and accepting people. Through my experience I have meet and became friends with some wonderful people. However, lately it seems like everyday I am hearing or seeing things that are completely untrue and negative being posted or e-mailed to our office about Excalibur coming from raw foodies. At first I just attributed it to people who have a motive to sell their product by trying to tarnish Excalibur’s good name. It’s sad that they feel the only way to sell a competing product is to spread miss information, but something has just gone too far. Yesterday I was informed about a post on this site which stated that the owner of Excalibur Roger Orton gave 50,000 to prop 8- the marriage is between a man and a woman-- ban on gay marriage issue for those of you who don’t know what Prop 8 is about-- this was completely un true as I am the owner of Excalibur- What is concerning is how fast people just believe what they hear, without checking the facts. There was no reason for the post as this issue has nothing to do with dehydration it was just an attempt to be negative and spread false information? What is the motivation? People posted they wished they never bought an Excalibur and we have received hate e-mail all by people saying all sorts of nasty and hateful stuff , these people 1) don’t know the facts and don’t care to ask 2) want tolerance but are not tolerant themselves. Excalibur has done more for dehydration in the raw food community than any other company; we support many teachers and donate a large portion of our profits to our global humanitarian efforts. We do not discriminate against ANY lifestyle and approach business as a vehicle to help others... So I am perplexed?

It is not just negativity towards Excalibur; I am also seeing this towards other really good people in the raw community and over other issues as well. -What is going on?? Is it the economy that has everyone in an uproar so they are looking for someone or something to take their hostilities out on? When times are tough we need to support each other, not tear each other apart and feed into negativity. Anyone have some insight for me?

The answer is simple: A small percentage of people are evil and destructive and as something grows and expands their numbers increase within that activitey and they begin to do destructive things on a larger scale. Witness the internet a simple way of communicating faster as originally intended and as time has passed this same "type" of personality begins to use it to do destructive things like create and spread computor viruses -- an act that no sane person would ever consider doing.
As in the case of all past societies we then begin to see the formation of policies and laws to prevent this which then of course restricts and ruins the freedoms of the majority of us.
The good guys then have to do battle to protect their freedoms.
And so it goes...

Gosh. What I'd like to know, is why do people direct so much negative energy towards the raw food community? Like most of us don't give a toss how SAD eaters want to roll yet they quite a few like to get up in our faces-.-. I mean yeah i get it, oooh so scary someone coming along and shaking your belief systems, but honestly it's ONLY food!

I would not call this instict. I expect this behaviour is part of chimp culture, i.e. passed on from the older generation to the younger by example. Those tribes that don't exhibit dentistry probably reproduce less well.

That's right, but I don't think this is an inherited trait. I believe it is a developmental problem. In Weston Price's book, dental abnormalities occurred on the first generation exposed to processed Western foods.

and wouldn't it be funny if by waiting to see this feminine levitation that it turned out that the concept of ground underneath, and its spatial relation to the universe in general, was a completely fictional creation? I mean...just sayin' ya know...
