Give it to me Raw

Has anyone else noticed that most of us who belong to GI2MR are single?!! Jade and I have been discussing this and wondering if this is because people who are into raw/veg diets are so rare to find that options are extremely limited, or is it because people into raw food just prefer to be single. Or are we too busy? Or, are most people with mates too busy to communicate on a forum like this? Worst case scenario - are raw foodies challenged in the sustainable relationship department?!! Would love to read your thoughts on this. Purely scientific research!

I think this world is a little too relative to explain love in our human words. But man will we try.

well said.. and what first came to mind is that love IS speechless no words in the human language could describe it. it is something that is felt in the heart beat of the entire universe which knows no time, no words, no structure, no limits, no boundaries.. it just is.. you cannot "know" love. For it doesn't take place in the mind of the human.

Here is a quote on this

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I'll meet you there.

When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase each other
doesn't make any sense. -Rumi

Ahh.. which brings us to the making of sense. Another great Rumi poem. Let silence speak to you about the secret of the universe.

Just as love is not a word. Silence is not a word. Infact it is the lack of words.
I feel that the only way to make sense is by feeling silence. Which of course needs true silence of the mind or meditation.
How does one feel silence? With their senses. Just as one builds muscle by using ones muscle, one makes sense by using ones senses.

Yep, "Just as love is not a word. Silence is not a word. Infact it is the lack of words."

Oh Rumi Amanda, his feelings are living forever in the southern heart of poetry

When there is talk about love, Rumi resonates

Rumi is a poet who is unable to finish his poems with words

All of his writings are finished by perfect feelings.

Amanda, that's one of my favorites of Rumi's! : )

And yes, there is nothing like the power of true, divine, unconditional LOVE.
There is no greater force and it is outside the understanding of the mind.
It can heal lifetimes of wounds & transform lives forever all in an instant.

Speaking from personal experience....

Ditto that.

Being single has it's gifts on my own I am able to produce a solitude within my heart and within the heart beat of the universal language. All else shall fall right where it needs.

Maybe because weve found love within ourselves and no longer feel the need to seek it out of others? Actually Im pretty much restating what Amanda just said:)

What a fabulously brilliant cornucopia of reasons for the single majority! I appreciate all the authentic input from sisters and brothers!

Another idea that occured to me today is that we, (people consuming a cleaner and higher vibrational diet), are moving rapidly towards enlightenment, which actually involves becoming lighter energetically, emotionally, physically, mentally, etc. Therefore, it would seem contradictory for beings striving to become lighter, purer, cleaner, and clearer, to take on the extra weight or burden of a maintaining a relationship and it's trappings of emotional baggage and attachment. On the other hand, relationships help us grow and evolve too. Perhaps my original question should be filed away in the unsolved mysteries department;) Sedona, in a vacuum by herself, is easier to figure out; there are scores of single vegetarian yogini goddesses everywhere and most of the men seem to be carnivorous drunks or nomadic musicians who couch-surf or live in their cars! I'm not even kidding.

Us men just take a little longer . . . :)
