Has anyone else noticed that most of us who belong to GI2MR are single?!! Jade and I have been discussing this and wondering if this is because people who are into raw/veg diets are so rare to find that options are extremely limited, or is it because people into raw food just prefer to be single. Or are we too busy? Or, are most people with mates too busy to communicate on a forum like this? Worst case scenario - are raw foodies challenged in the sustainable relationship department?!! Would love to read your thoughts on this. Purely scientific research!
The love department has been a challenge in my meat eating, vegetarian, vegan, and now, vegan/raw days. Not quite sure where Mr. Right is. But, I can say that as my lifestyle has become healthier and my yoga practice and in turn spirituality and world views have evolved, my outlook on what I would want in a mate has really changed as well. I really want to be with someone who will respect my lifestyle and is open minded to it...and also is trying to live a spiritually and physically healthy lifestyle as well, even if it doesn't look just like mine. I have had a few dates where they either gave me shit for being vegan or were just too far removed from where I was coming from. My dating pool has shrunk..but that will probably be for the best if I'm looking for a life partner. But I agree with you, it does beg the question, why are so many of us wonderful GI2MR hotties single!? :-)
With a Raw Food diet a case of ancient wisdom shows up~
The Whole Marrage way becomes lessened~
There becomes a Self Love that Rocks~
That Self love Lives deep in an Inner sanctum~
Almost unexplainable especially in English~
It is a FreeSpirit*Dom*Closer to Gaia*
Yes, and if you want more than just `brushing up` eachother, things are different.
I think the more conditioned you are, the bigger the love/pool is, in which you can fish for your partner.
In nature, the common-normal is perfect, because nature is, but in relations I am interested in the rare and special, because woman are golden plates in which men lay silver apples, I don´t know who said this, but I do know I can´t do this act with everyone on a longer term basis.
It is also, that eating raw you come closer to the basic foundations of life. See also my freedom of speach thread, where I explain that truth lays at this deepest basis and not in language, the latter
has no truth but ultimate freedom.
So this truth will self/manifest on other terrains of your life.
Your partner will have to get used to your food but also to the changes on the other terrains...
i agree with some of what you say, but no offence, as a nonviolent person, i may have to hit you if you tried to touch me.
i am just not a huggy person

I have been single for a long time, an it is not because I am Raw.. that has only happened within a month. But I do find that I am leaning toward someone who would share the same love of health that I am getting, and a meat eater might not cut it. Im not saying that I would not date one, because I most definilty would.. anyone can become healthy! Why should I deny someone the right to be happy? I wouldn't want someone to do that to me because .. lets say.. they were raw and I still ate meat everyonce in a while (which I don't. lol). But, my mind is slowly starting to see things in a different light, and a relationship is not on the top of my list anymore. IDK . If a relationship forms.. it does. :)
probably detox...detox is interesting and creative. thanks for the strength of putting it all out there! it takes a lot to stick with it when the body cleanses. you can do it though i can tell you know it....8^))
you need to whack it right around the top of the coconut with either a heavy handled knife or a machete..im an expert now and crack open those babies in no time....
are you having to take off the outer green shell,or just crack open the white coc...
we are hugely blessed to have Loren here i so agree...
ahh complete rest with eyes closed....sounds wonderful...just the not eating part for that long,i guess after a while you would lose your 'hunger' anyway ??
i would say give it time...if you are feeling flu like symptoms i would say you are detoxing...40 days isnt a long time, when you consider how long you havent been 100% well..your body will heal and clean house in its own time....
hey there Thad, well done on all your running?
you run on your fuel from yesterday, not the day of the run...how much did you eat the day before?how much did you sleep, were you hydrated enough, are you getting enough rest in general?
