I actually just tried my first durian 3 days ago (pure ice cream durian) and fell in love. The next day I bought 2 durians and my 2 dogs and I devoured them for dinner. Durian is currently my favorite food! I love the custard light texture and herby, onion flavor. YUMMY in the tummy.

I'm a total durian lightweight. I've never eaten more than one whole one in one sitting.
I adore it though, it's definitely one of my favourite foods :)

If I had to bet I'd say Harley aka Durianrider is the champ durian chomper. He's actually won eating contests, but he should tell you about it. Check out his page.
I love 'em, but only get the imported frozen Monthongs where I live. I like my durian straight up with sticky fingers.
I just received 24kilos yesterday and ate 4kilos for lunch and 3 kilos for dinner.

Have some waiting when I get off the net....! Just grabbed 8 freshies from the mountain tops of Raub in Malaysia. This morning we shared 10 and just had another 3, 5 to go and maybe more tonight in Kuala Lumpur if we feel like it. The taste is just amazing - I describe it as Deep caramel vanilla cheesecake....mmmmm
The locals are loving watching us gorge ourselves, they see us standing on them, pressuring them to open & they run over with a machete instead to do the job! A Chinese guy helped us open about 4 and then tried to run off with the other half of the bag!.....obviously didn't value his life :-D I gave him one, couldn't part with more than that!
That's the durian I ate, it didn't go down too well :( A family from Burma ate it all up on my behalf so it was enjoyed. But hey, I don't need a 400 NOK vice so it's all good..
