Give it to me Raw

I started sprouting sunflower seeds for the first time and by the third day I've noticed white foam. I've read that this is a bug infestation. Anything I can do about this? Anything to prevent it?

I'm sprouting inside (darkness). The temperature is very warm. I'm using a tray to sprout in soil.

When you say white foam, what do you mean?

A white fuzz, almost like spider webs.

The fuzz on the roots are little folicles that are reaching out for water, its a sign of thirst for the plant. Its not mold. Water them and watch them rest.

Peace

It was all over everything. If anything, they were dehydrated. I'm new to sprouting.

I have seen the same thing growing on wheatgrass. I believe it is a type of mold. I read when sprouting sunflower seeds, you have to make sure you rinse out all the skins that come off of the seeds or you will have problems.

You shouldn't try to grow hulled sunflower seeds into sprouts, its okay to sprout them, but not grow them.

You want to use black oil sunflower seeds to grow sprouts with.

Hi El-bo, You're absolutely right; sodium is not the problem, but sodium chloride, and inorganic mineral salt which always causes water retention and raises blood pressure. We don't need any of that.
