I was at a raw food course. The teacher made lots of smoothies. With or without nutmilk-base. She said: " this smoothie is for two persons". What was left in those two glasses was a little coffee cup of smoothie in each. I just wondered. Which size should it be? I`ve seen many BIG smoothies at this page (and everywhere else). Strange question, but whats normal?
If not too much fat is involved (nuts) then BIG is good. I do not include nuts in my smoothie, so I drink every morning a big glass of my Green Smoothie.
In my Green Smoothies I use any kind of fruit for sweetness and lots of green salads. In the beginning I started with more fruits than greens and used bananas for even more sweetness, because I was afraid of the "green" taste. With time I got used to it; it became too sweet, so I increased the greens.
Yeah! I have been getting into apples big time, and discovering new ones that I have not tried before like the Honey Crisps! I always like the Gala too great for raw recipes!
Thank you for your positive words everyone. I've been raw for 8 months and it was simply dissappointing to have gone through such a binge! Besides I felt physically awful!
