HOW TO PREPARE FOR SWINE FLU | THE CURE FOR SWINE FLU?
I would hope people drop sugars and honey, etc. Grab a lot of high vitamin C, yellow peppers. Yellow tomatos, red peppers in big cucumber salads. Lots of parsley too, find a tabouli recipe and load up the veggies and herbs. Also seek out your local springs (findaspring.com) for water to saturate and flush your system.
Eat clean while you are sick, no binding agents or blocking agents. Avoid sugar so your thyroid and immune system stay strong.
Actually, wouldn't honey be more for bacterial? I probably wouldn't drop it as it is pretty easy to digest and can save energy to combat the disease. Not that I am sick but the other day I actually did a half pound of honey with no ill affects. Honey is fructose and glucose, which fruits get broken down to anyway . . . I think the issue is more QUANTITY of sugars, regardless of the form . . . We do need a minimum amount though, and they are the easiest form of calories to digest.
Your other recs are good, though if a person has weak digestion, the veggies would probably be better juiced . . .
Haven't heard of findaspring.com . . .will check out . . .
Of course! It was local too. And not just "raw" because they still heat it when they pack it (under 115), but "UNHEATED" and "COLD PACKED". That's the real deal. I tried some avocado flower honey last week. Lots of goodies at the farmers market here. The passion fruit was AMAZING. Sopate was good too . . .
Oh Yeah Rawpoly..etc. I have been feeling under the weather. I have a sore throat and my ear started bleeding. I will let you know if I am the first official raw person with it.. I have been eating garlic, fresh thyme, green juices with fresh ginger.
If you get it, your immune system isn't functioning properly. There are lots of helpful things a person could do, but there is no "one answer" because the reason you are out of balance may be different then the reason another person is. The key is not to "combat the flu", but rather to do what is necessary for YOU to be healthy. That may mean fasting, it may mean green juice, it may mean positive thoughts, it might mean leaving a toxic environment. The more positives you stack on your side, the greater the odds, but the most effective thing for one will likely be different for another . . .
I would personally stock up on whatever fresh foods are in season, add a few immune boosters that I muscle response test high for needing, then head off for a solitude place in the woods that has lots of fresh water and sunlight . . . Then I would spend most of my time in meditation on positive things and of course track any holodynes that might be dragging me down :)
Get some sunshine on bare skin. Recently I read an article by a doctor studying the effects of Vitamin D on the flu. Theory is that the reason flu is not common in the summertime is because people in the temperate regions (us) get enough Vitamin D from sun exposure. No sun in winter = low vitamin D levels = weakened immune system.
