Give it to me Raw

I used to drink a lot of milk and I've never has a cavity(dunno if it has anything to do with it) but I wanna keep it that way so I was wondering what foods I can eat to maintain bones and teeth. Thanks.

High mineral foods like greens and sea veggies are on the top.

Greens seem to be the answer to everything...lol. Thank you!

:) Pretty much! Eat as much as you can handle! I don't get near enough, but back when I did, I was doing a green smoothie, a green soup, and a huge green salad every day . . . doing lots of salads now and juicing . . .

the best foods, from what i've studying that INCREASE bone strength and promote strong teeth are foods and herbs that are high in SILICA. the body takes silica and transmutes it into bio available, good calcium. horsetail is the highest silica content food on the planet (equisetum arvense). there's also other foods you can look up. ormus is also a great helper in promoting strength in these areas. i've read about people who've even regrown teeth by brushing them with high silica stuff like horsetail. their fillings just popped right out. haha crazy. anyways there you go

Interesting, I'll have to look for that stuff at the health food store. Thank you!

Horsetail? The stuff I pull out of my garden plot CONSTANTLY? How do you consume it? I didn't even realize it was edible!

Mike, I think you will find this reassuring.

It lists calcium sources for raw vegans and reassures that raw vegans are no more likely than the average person (in fact less likely) to have bones/teeth problems.

I've always had good teeth and after two and a half years raw (the last year on a high-fruit diet) they're still good.

That's good news, I'll have to go with this stuff and see what happens. Thank you very much!

PLA that's worrying about your recent scan. I've just been reading about prunes reversing bone loss
http://www.betterbones.com/blog/post/Can-prunes-reverse-bone-loss.aspx

A quote from that website
"This summer Dr. Arjmandi and colleagues will complete a landmark, controlled human clinical trial on prunes and bone health. For this study, 120 post-menopausal women have been taking either 100 grams of prunes (9-10 a day) or an equivalent portion of dried apples for one year. While it will be a few more months before all the research data is in, thus far 30 women in the prune group have had at least a 6% increase in hip bone, and one woman had an exceptional 11% increase consuming prunes over the year. Preliminary data from a segment of research subjects found that all prune-eaters showed at least some improvement in bone mass by six months into the study."

Prune power!!

I used to worry because I do eat a significant amount of fruit, but I also make sure to get minerals from greens and seaweed, so I hoped that would help. Recently I got a dental x-ray and my enamel looks great.

healthy minerals are key

I am also eating raw-paleo, so I don't really eat grains very often and hardly eat nuts, so my phytic acid intake is low.

since I find no reason to believe in 'allergies' against 'natural' appropriate stuff, I would think it's more likely just the fact that pineapple if bought in store is pretty much always unripe. Not that it matters to the situation perhaps. ...but...

Yes ma'am. Resting as completely as possible with eyes closed; getting enough water; avoiding too much sun; avoiding toxic substances (personal care products, cleaning products, etc.)

Hey Michele! We fast 8-10 people per year for 6 weeks and most of them have amazing experiences. Incidentally, though some people imagine there's a need to "work up" to a long fast like this, many are fasting this long for the first time; in fact,...
