Bananas are soothing to the stomach lining so if you have digestive issues they're very tolerable. However, bananas do contain a lot of sugar, and if you have blood sugar problems they aren't they great, since the high sugar content causes spikes in your glycemic level. I also read that according to Chinese medicine bananas in excess aren't great for the liver.
Try adding small amounts of protein to your smoothies, it will be easier to digest that way (compared to eating a whole chicken heh). I had pretty severe digestive issues and couldn't keep anything down at one point, but I could do green smoothies with a bit of protein in them for strength.
i never had digestive problems. i can eat what i want and my stomach gets it all.. i have this special diseae, i got it in order of taking the wrong medicine.. this symptoms go worse but my digestion is great. I can eat 20 bananas and i feel good about it...
i will put some protein to the smoothis.. thanks !
From what you have said it sounds like raw has helped you somewhat but now you need to really nail down what you are doing. Most people who have been raw for a while should experiment with digestive enzymes and b-complex supplementation.A lot of what underlies health problems is the fact that people have lost the ability to digest correctly. The digestive enzymes can help you get the nutrition you need from your food. They also can help you get rid of cells that aren't fully functioning.
B vitamin deficiency affects everyone because our digestion has been messed up from taking anti-biotics, stress, and even chlorinated water. I have read that a lot of problems people have as they get older like memory, hairloss, and heart disease can all be reversed with b-vitamin supplementation. B-complex is the best. Make sure it has biotin in it as well.
One thing that can make a person not feel exactly right is an iodine deficiency. This is also great to get. A liquid dropper is easy to just put a drop or two in your water. It can stimulate your thyroid thus making you feel more energetic and mentally alert.
Eliminating foods like cabbage, brussel sprouts, broccoli, and cauliflower can help because too many of these vegetables can interfere with thyroid function.I hope this helps!
AU..almost sounds like you could be talking to me....i am glad im taking some action now,and not putting up with my less than perfect health,i dont know if mine is thyroid,i know my ulcerative colitis and digestion isnt good..last 2 years its really sucked..(and thats after i was eating all raw for 4 years straight,.and healed my body so well..)
something not right....more investigations to be had...
Hans i wish you well in your quest for awesome health xxo
ps i also have no issue with bananas i find them incredibly soothing
When I am training during cycling season, I always add hemp protein to my smoothies. Ruth's Hemp Protein with E3 Live and Maca really helps to build up my cycling legs. Hemp protein seems to work really well for me. Other proteins seemed to not do well digestion-wise. Other than that, I eat lots of spinach.
i train alot too,and cycle..i got some sunwarrior? i think it is,protein powder from my friend Jen at rawpleasure.com
and just started it yesterday, will see how i go with it..
that's what I meant and I am fully aware that it sounds crazy but when you hear all of the evidence especially the DNA evidence then they say they can prove everyone is from one original eve. Also that the name Adam means worker in Hebrew- and tha...
Thanks for posting! I went to the dentist today and was absolutely delighted when I heard the dentist comment to the hygenist, "she has beautiful teeth, doesn't she?"
