hey guys..

i´m 5 months 100 % raw.. and my muscles got very small... i would like to know what kind of veggies have some good and lots of protein to offer? what are you doing for protiens? best

good advice Saz...i have times where i crave more 'protein' than others...more green smoothies etc...:)

I would recommend lots of fruits and green leafy vegetables for the best protein you can find. Most people find that their muscles appear smaller after going raw for a period of time. There could be many things that could contribute to this.

1) Lower salt intake - retaining less water therefore look smaller
2) Fat that has been marbled around and in amongst your muscles is diminishing (more so if you are on a low fat raw vegan program) therefore giving them a leaner look.
3) You have become less active and aren't using them as much

If you are eating enough calories to fuel your body and tissues then the likelihood of you losing muscle mass is slim. It is also unlikely that you aren't getting enough protein if you are eating enough calories.

Eat more fruits and greens. Exercise those muscles and they will come back with a vengeance. Mine did. :)

I was a drummer had had big drummer muscles :-) i lost mabye the half of them in the last 5 months. I had lots of it, so there ar still some musckles left but i can see that they are going smaller.. I thought about the animal thing and tried raw eggs for one week but i felt worse. I have a sickness which is very sensitive to what i eat. when i eat the wrong things my symptoms go worse.

I lost about 15 kg. My weight is 66 kg and my height is 1, 84 cm. I dont how much inch that is. Iny my opinion, thats way to less.. it body doenst look well in shape.. i´m just very thin.

I do exercices... i think i have to increase a bit more. You sugesstions are very helpful... i hope i dont have to stay much longer raw.. i have cravings on proteins.. like i have heavy cravings on cheese and also on prawns ( i´m vegetarian) but i have the cravings.. is that a sign that my body needs something?

basically i need fruits and green veggies... some nuts and seeds but very less..

Honestly no, not from my personal experience. If your body is craving protein you need more protein. Some people use hemp protein powder, you can get it raw if you are determined to do 100% raw. If your body is sensitive you might find brown rice protein powder is easier to digest. Add it to your smoothies every day. Like I said, I know some people here recommend all fruits and veggies, but having done it long term, it's easy to become deficient. You have lost a lot of weight as well, you need the extra calories. But it's your call, that's what works for my body.

once you lose body fat going to raw foods,you may realise how small your muscles really were..

all raw foods have amino acids,which are where we get our protein from....you will never be short on protein eating raw vegan foods..:)

eat big
sleep big
train big
= a vibrant healthy body with plenty of raw muscle :)

Well don't eat 100% raw vegan unless you want to lose even more muscle mass. In order to maintain your muscle mass you have to intake at least 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight... it's proven science. If you really don't want to eat animal flesh anymore that's cool and all but you are gonna have a very hard time getting big muscles. You could drink raw milk every day and that would definitely help you grow, it's full of protein and as an added bonus lots of beneficial bacteria!
You're gonna have a lot of people on here telling you that it's possible to gain lots of muscle mass on 100% raw vegan and they'd be right.. it is possible, just very difficult. You'll be spending lots of time and money eating greens all day. I hope everything works out for you!

to answer your question, what kind of veggies have some good and lots of protien to offer. green leaf lettuce and spinach.
beef is 50 pecent protien.
an egg is 37 percent protien.
green leafy lettuce to 22 percent protien.
spinacach is 30 percent protien.
just have a large green leafy lettuce and spinach salad each day. the lettuce and spinach total 52 percent, more tha beef at 50 percent.

also try getting sunshine, it will add to the size and quality of your muscles.

An insufficiency of light will cause an increase in the serum or watery portion of the blood and a corresponding decrease in the quantity of blood fibrin and red Corpuscles, resulting in anemia. The only difference is that spinach is not a COMPLETE protein like beef or eggs. The fat in beef also raises testosterone levels as well.

Delete yes and even the woman (doctor) who published that information in the 1970's has recanted that we don't need complete protiens, nor do we need to mix incomplete protiens, like she stated, beans and rice (as an example).

the fat in beef (as well as all other calories, e.g. fat, carbs, protien) if consumed in excess of needs will marbalize fat into the muscle. making them look larger like the cooked weight lifters, but not adding to strength. think wild chimpanze. a male chimp at 5'2'' and 190 to 210 lbs is five times stronger than a 6'2' male human at 240 lbs. a wild chimps diet is about 98% veagan and 2% insects (termites) and a litlle monkey meat (raw).
