cacao is the #1 antioxidant on the planet! it has iron, magnesium, zinc, manganese, chromium, vitamin c, copper, omega-6 fatty acids, fiber, seratonin and PEA. (powerful little seed isn't it?!) you can get raw cacao nibs or cacao powder. i love making cacao almond milk...delicious!
PEA which is a mood enhancer. Also avaliable in cannabis and algae I think. I go on and off cacao. Sometimes I get addicted to it, sometimes I can take it or leave it. If I get into a low mood then it always lifts me out of it, every time.
It tends to make me stay up all night if have it during the day. There's a place for that, no doubt. Just as a rare thing though...i'm a little sensitive to the 'drug' aspects of it...
Cacao is awesome, It tastes great and makes you feel great! Some people say it's poison and some say it's the best thing ever for you, I say let your body decide if it's right for you. I personally LOVE!
Basically, cacao is a major antioxidant which can do many other wonders, such as:
1. Lower blood pressure
2. Lower vascular cell adhesion
3. Increase circulating Nitric Oxide
4.Decrease platelet aggregation
5. Decrease rates of death from cardiac mortality and all mortality in general
6. Improve insulin sensitivity
7. Decrease fasting insulin
8. Increase blood flow to the brain
9. Inhibit plasma lipid oxidation
10. Decrease chronic inflammation in the body and cardio-vascular system in general.
Hope this helps some - and for more info, you can check out this blog where I found the info: http://healthyfoodrawdiet.com which has tons more info on cacao. :)

I've heard some people claim cacao contains toxins and carcinogens; I don't know about any of that. I just know it contains caffeine, and caffeine does not agree with my body. I believe it has a lot of benefits, but just isn't for everybody.
Hi April,
We get a fair number of applicants, and it varies all the time.
It is absolutely NOT required that someone be raw for any length of time. What is required is that someone be truly open and coachable.

Pretty interesting. It was hard to tell what he was for and against though, haha. I would hope to be in as good condition as him when I'm 91..... or better :j
I guess if you think of it as eating raw as what God intended, and makes us the purest version physically of what were meant to be, then maybe it is a way to get closer to God and clear away the distracting mess of sickness, and the hormone and em...
