Does anyone else feel crazy after eating raw cacao? My heart beats my whole body...I call it the cacao drum. I don't want to stop as I am feeling so warm and nourished on this stuff as well, especially at 'that time of month' when I probably have too much in order to quell cravings for bad carbohydrates. The side affects are possibly a kind of anxity, I feel like I'm off to war. grrrrrrrrr....anyone else have cacao side affects?
...it's called caffein doll, and it's not good for you. Coupled if you are sweetening it with agave the effects are worse. Save the chocolate for special treats not "food"
When I eat raw honey or very strong green tea(caffeine content) I do not feel that way. But doing cacao powder I felt like my organs were shutting down.
yeah, i get it really badly. if i have a piece of raw chocolate i cant sleep that night, and i start sweating and get very anxious after a while. brrr....no, o've switched to carob
In to every great movement some drug seems to enter in to the picture to disempower the participants. The drug of choice in the raw food movement seems to be raw cacao. Highly addictive, with an endless shelf-life, often made in to packaged treats that include clogging coconut butters and lethal lecithin, I have personally noticed that when I eat cacao, I start to look depleted very quickly.
20 Ways to tell if you are addicted to raw cacao:
1. You have raw cacao every day, sometimes more than once.
2. You blog and twitter about raw cacao daily.
3. You think you aren't addicted but you can't stop eating it because it gives you energy.
4. On days when you don't have raw cacao, you feel tired and lethargic.
5. On days when you don't have raw cacao, you feel foggy-brained.
6. You eat more and more raw cacao all the time.

10. You stay awake on raw cacao two or more nights in a row.
11. You feel dizzy after eating raw cacao, but continue to eat it.
12. You get migraine headaches from raw cacao, but continue to eat it.

*Lol* - So is Jinjie suggesting that David Wolfe is like the raw-food drug pusher?
Oh and I second Rebecka Askaner - switching to carob is great.
So for example instead of cacao shakes/smoothies I make them with carob and they taste like malt shakes yummy.
(Cherry Malts are my fave!)
Hi Rawstrength
What do you mix with the carob? When I use it it doesn't really taste good. The other morning, i mixed coconut water, spinach, carob, spirulina, msm and bananas. It tasted like it had too many different flavors. KWIM???
I suggest a shake made with bananas, dates and carob. You can add some spinach if you like. The extra sweetness from the dates actually enhances the flavor of the carob.
Caco is a stimulant. It doesn't contain caffeine, but theobromine, a similar stimulant to caffeine that acts mainly on the heart. That doesn't mean that it is necessarily bad but it is what it is.
Heart stimulants are useful for delivering medicine to all parts of your body by increasing blood circulation. If you make a medicinal herbal tea and add in some cacao, the medicine will reach all parts of your body much more quickly and thoroughly.
Don't use cacao every day, or it could wipe out your adrenals. Know its effects and use it intelligently. Don't become addicted to it or use it to give you an "wake up" like coffee every mornig.
i like my own smell,i get told i smell nice even if i dont wear any essential oils etc...i have been told that my saliva tastes sweet ,i dunno...
im with Charles, hey my shit doesnt stink right,he he he laughs!
I dont smell like fruit, but since getting all the processed foods out of my diet I find I hardly need deoderant. Theres definitely a noticeable improvement.
What are people supposed to smell like? In nature, animals smell musky.
