What is a durian like?
I have never had one or tasted one and I am curious. What do they taste like? Do they stink? (I remember hearing somewhere that they stink) Are they sweet, are they bitter?
I just watched Shazzie's video of her sexually eating a durian... lol... she portrays them as very sexual. Is this just because of the way they look or do they actually enhance the way you feel? Are they an aphrodisiac?

Im also waiting to try my first durian. Seems like a taste to love or detest, no in between..which means Ill probably love it.

First time I tried durian I hated it, but I had it again six months later and I loved it!
If you have never tried it before you will probably not know if you have a good one or not so give it a couple of tries, or enlist the help of an experienced durian eater :)

I can't smell but yes, it stinks.
It's delicious, but the texture puts me off....the best description I've heard is "ice cream with skin."
However my favourite description overall is by Anthony Burgess:
"like eating sweet raspberry blancmange in the lavatory." lol ;)

The best description I've ever heard was: like onion custard but yummy. I love the taste, sweet, creamy and kinda sulfur-y
I think they smell really yummy, the first time my old roommate opened one I wandered out from my room to the kitchen so I could taste whatever it was that smelled so good. On the other hand, my sister thinks they smell like diesel fuel.
People to either love them or hate them, I think I've only ever met one person who was sort of indifferent..
