Raw Food not only changes your relationship with health - it also changes your relationship with money. Raw Food and holistic education starts to make you really present to where your dollars are going and what impact they have on people + the planet.
Question: What don't you spend money on now that you use to? How have your dollars shifted since embarking on your health journey? What business do you support and not support?
Specific examples would be fantastic! We want to learn from your experiences.

I Don't spend money on toxic care, personal hygiene, cleaning products or make-up produced by unethical companies......also nappies and baby wipes.
I still go to a supermarket (not great) but chose the most sound one out of the ones on offer, unfortunately it's also the most expensive....:- /
Will not spend any money in ASDA no matter how cheap (UK equivalent to walmart)....I Don't spend money on meat, fish or dairy.
I generally don't spend money on so called Bargains (like in £ shops or cheap clothing shops) that cost pennies but are usually also very poor quality and probably made by some Chinese (or other) slave somewhere.
I don't spend money on cheap throw away toys made from plastic which get played with a couple of time and then break and get thrown out.
I don't spend money on junk food, petrol, car-tax, car insurance, car repairs, TV license (don't have one), restaurants...not even public transport actually if I can avoid it, I'm boycotting the insanely high prices for buses and trains in this country.....will probably think of more in a bit......;)
I actually posted a blog yesterday about corporate links and cooked/pre-prepared food, etc., so this is sort of still fresh in my mind...
I suppose I spend less on food in general since I started foraging more a couple of years ago. Wild food is great, especially when so many things grow in abundance and it's so much healthier to eat local, raw and wild stuff since the body is acclimated to the same region as the food.
The only heavy financial expenditures I've made have been related to eating and preparing food for others, since going raw a couple of years ago I've actually been acquiring a few more things here and there which are completely unrelated to food. However, I'm still not buying much and my existence is basically 50/50 freegan at this point.
I'd like to change that to 80/20 if possible (the 80% being on the freegan side).
I've not owned a television, so that was never an issue. I basically live as far off the grid as possible, and I'm making an attempt to move even farther away from mainstream societal practices and looking into growing everything on my own or as part of a community (when I'm not foraging).
The only stuff I'm really spending a lot on as of late are nuts and Metrocards.
I'd like to say I've stopped paying Con Edison, but I'm still working on that one. ;)
I no longer spend my money on prescription (or other people's prescribed or otherwise stolen) drugs! No more narcotics for me! I never thought there would be a day when my chronic back pain would go away and I wouldn't have to take handfuls of narcotics just to ease the pain.
I don't buy clothes, although I've always hated any kind of shopping.
I'm on week 3 of adding green smoothies and am transitioning to raw. You know, a total noob. But I just wanted to say, that in the last 3 weeks I've stopped going to Starbucks and buying junk food.... which for me is a big deal, actually. I realize most of you posting are light years away from where I am, but I just thought I'd post my rather mundane note... because every bit counts... thanks.
