I grew up Catholic so I was taught there would be a place called heaven to go to if I was a good little boy and this gave me something to look forward to after life on Earth. But now I'm older, wiser, and I just don't feel in my heart that such a place exists. I just don't feel it. =(
So then what? What do I believe happens after we die?
I've been thinking about this a lot lately at the beginning of July my best friend's husband killed himself..It has been hard to understand and I keep thinking where is he now? I am sad and just can't stop thinking about it. I am in a funk about it..
We all have the right to go on to a different body and no one should try to deny us our choices. We don't know how much he was suffering.
"Dianetics ,The Modern Science of Mental Health" by L.Ron Hubbard @ Amazon .com can help us understand traumatic incidents and ERASE them so we can think about it and not feel unwanted emotions or suffer. [ Also see "Fundamentals of Thought" by same author @ Amazon LOVELY BOOK!
**It's our decisions=postulates =what we decide is true at the time of these incidents that determines our experiences. We can improve our confront of lifes ups and downs- Life begins with confront-LOOKING to know. And make something more positive out of it.
*Hope this is helpful to you.
*Wish you all understanding and happy lives. Niki
Oh, Kumara. I'm so sorry, that's really tough. My sister-in-law's sister killed herself...that's really tough...know that God is with you and He wants to be there to comfort you. Sending a hug!
i was the same when i lost my dog. i kept wondering where he is. i don't know but i hope that i can see him again. now i tend to think more about how much i enjoyed his company and memories of him though and i feel better that at least i got the chance to have the friendship. it really does hurt to lose somebody. i don't think you never get to see them again but the next meeting may be very different or maybe they never leave just their physical form.
who really knows? anybody who pretends they do is lying really. it is an interesting subject though. i don't think that you die and that will be it but i don't know. maybe we are reincarnated. i certainly don't believe people will be eternally damned for not believing in god either.
People, heathens are not, have a conscience. God placed this in everyone. Heaven isn't for "the privileged" but a place for those who have chosen to accept God's grace...heaven is a place where people who understand how sinful their own human state is, repent, and live a life of love for Jesus...
Most of us will go to hell. all the fun people are there I've heard. only boring people like saints goes to heaven. they are so boring even god can't stand them.
Wow...you don't know how sad that sounds...I hear that "joke" all the time. That the fun people are there, or all my friends will be there...what people don't understand is that there's no friendship in hell. But there's plenty of the opposite.
Do you think this world is boring? Do you think all that God created is boring, mountains to climb, juicy fruits to eat, abundance of flavors? Do you think that love, special relationships, even sex, is boring? There are proper times and places for everything, but don't you see that God created all that? He's the Author of everything wonderful....heaven will be millions times better. There's a verse that says, "No eyes have seen, or ears have heard, what God has in heaven for those that love Him." That means we can't even imagine it.
When I die and God brings me to heaven, I have no intention of learning the harp or wearing fluffy angel wings, let me tell you. :) That's not heaven...that's how cartoonists make fun of it. :) It'll be beyond our wildest imaginations.
sounds great, especially since my wildest imaginations are not very wild. It's like deep sleep right? all good dreams of course..or rather beyond dreaming.
Hi I don't think there was a lot of salt in the meal, I think they are quite particular about that, and No Vita isn't expensive, you pay £2.80 for your plate and then £1 per serving of anything else.
