What Do You Like to Dance To?
Over the weekend, I went to a party to say goodbye to a friend who is leaving to go back to France tomorrow. My favorite part of the party, since there was absolutely no raw food there, was watching everybody dance. And man, did I feel out of touch. I didn't even recognize the music coming out of the iPod, but it did want to dance to do it.
I try to dance to at least one song every morning, just to start my day out on a positive note, but if you look at my iPod, you can tell I was a child of the 70s and 80s.
I'm looking for some dance tune suggestions. Something, you know, from this millenium! Got any suggestions?

Katy Perry is fun, the Tings Tings, and M.I.A. But I'm really more like you, give me some Madonna and Prince and I'm all set. I love dancing!

CSS, Of Montreal, Los Campesinos!, Gang Gang Dance, Lady Sovereign would be some diverse recommendations. And ditto on M.I.A., she's awesome. Then again, I always think you can't go wrong with some Dead Can Dance or vintage Bowie, but some disagree...

I love to dance to reggae! Ragga Jungle is also my love. Hm, those are the two that make me move, but any electronic music also pulses through my veins when I hear it.

I dance like a brick. So I try to avoid the whole process :-)
But there are certain songs that I do like to dance to, and they are in this order:
VNV Nation - "The Arena"
Ministry - "Everyday is Halloween"
New Order - "Procession"
The Cult - "She Sells Sanctuary"
Death in Vegas ' "Hands Around My Throat"
Goldfrapp - "Strict Machine"
Anthrax - "Only" (more of a "slam" dance, but what the hell? :-)
and some Radiohead song I can't remember right now off the top of my head.

If it's music and it's on, I'll pretty much find a way to dance to it (and I can dance!). Anything from head bangin' to really getting my groove on and everything in between. :) Sorry, but I can't be more specific than that, cuz it's true! Lately I've been jammin' out to the latest Godsmack cd while working away in the kitchen. Or Jason Mraz. ;)

The sound track to "Dance with Me" has great dance music to it. I can't help but get up and move whenever I happen to turn it on.

I bet juggler is GREAT exercise. For the brain, with the hands crossing the body's mid-line is beneficial.
I just ordered a Cellercise, an advanced rebounder, the presenter likened it somewhat to skipping rope.
I favor organic apples on sale anywhere, especially Whole Foods, when they're 99cents/lb (culture shock).

Keep it simple! GINGER! You can make a tea with grated fresh ginger and just pour some hot water over.

I love apples too! I made a "killer-Raw-Apple-Pie" last week, with different kind of apples in it. It was so good I can't stop thinking about it. The panda-bear in the pic is soooo cute! Did you take the picture yourself?
