Give it to me Raw

I'm so curious...

All of you 80% -90% raw foodists, what does the non-raw 10%-20% part of your diet consist of?

Herbal tea (especially when I am really cold), I've used non-raw versions of ingredients until I could get the raw version (cocoa, apple cider vinegar, etc.), sprouted grain breads such as Manna, rice in sushi occasionally, rice paper for wraps, and some items my non-raw family makes when we go to family dinners.

Yet another high-raw person eating quinoa. I feel good and strong eating some cooked quinoa several times a week.

I also still eat cooked beans on my evening salad. I soak them overnight and cook them in my crock pot. I'm not saying it's the ultimate, but I feel grounded eating them a few times a week. Certainly nothing to go from 100 % raw to eating though.

I was doing quinoa for the longest time but the last few times I've eaten it, it left me feeling really weighed down and un-energetic, kinda like how I'd feel in the old days after eating a bowl of pasta. I've been doing well without it.

Quinoa is supposed to be gluten-free, but I can't eat it at all! Gives me a major headache and tummyache :(

call me Ms. Piggly Wiggly-Last night I had a nori roll (thanks everyone for your wonderful recipes, btw) with/guac, tomatoes and a little onion. While my black bean pizza(8') was in the oven. I was starving after my workout and I wanted something quick so the nori rolls helped. BUT my mind was set on having my pizza.

I was sooooo full afterwards, yet very happy.

Just pour a dish of frozen limas (or Llamas.....), and let sit on counter. Eat after, or as, they thaw. No seasoning or dressing....

I do the same with frozen edame beans and peas.

I discovered this by being hungry one day and having few other choices.

I'm also quite lazy in the kitchen. Always looking for the least amount of work and dirty dishes.

I made this back in February and yes it's all raw. It's dehydrated sprouted crackers from Rainbow, with cashew cheese, tomatoes, pesto, avocado and arugula.

I would ask him if he is interested in making a dietary change and if he shows interest then that's great! If not, be a shining example of health and hopefully one day he will come around. He has to do it when he is ready otherwise he will feel it...
