Give it to me Raw

I'm so curious...

All of you 80% -90% raw foodists, what does the non-raw 10%-20% part of your diet consist of?

Back in January I had Indian food and I got sooooo illl. That'll teach me. The smell and the taste was awesome but I totally felt like I was dying.

fess up. who here has been eating the girl scout cookies?

not gsc, but kashi strawberry fields seduced me last night!

I actually got my manager at work to throw out his brand new, unopened box of girlscout cookies when I explained to him about the ingredients inside. That was one of my proudest raw moments.

Anything in particular about the ingredients outside of white-death sugar? girl scouts themselves?

The partially hydrogenated cottonseed oils, high fructose corn syrup, BHT, etc.

Peanut Butter sandwich cookies are the bomb!!!!

Kettle Krinkle Cut Potato Chips, that come in those big 1lb bags. Salt & Pepper is my favorite. Tastes just like fried chicken, but of course it's not...Finger lickin good!

Also, Bearitos Organic Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips. Pure Crunch Energy. Absolutely No Regrets, baby!

hahaha. pepperidge farm goldfish crackers. thats cute. :) i remember them :)

as for my non-raw, in this cold rainy dark climate in the winter, i keep finding myself gravitating towards lightly steamed red cabbage, steamed potatoes (yeah, sweet potatoes would be better but they are hard to get here...i live in the land of the white potato...), homemade, vegan all-vegetable soup on occasion. i dont like and wont eat any cooked greens, but i keep craving the steamed red cabbage. Dont seem to do well with most grains, but do brown rice on occasion, and i love cooked amaranth... bread, cookies, chocolate or other cooked meals on occasion, usually when I am at someone else's house. oh yeah ,and i WOULD eat the girl scout cookies if they were here. the whole box. thankfully i dont think they have them in ireland. i have no self-discipline. the only self-discipline I have is to not buy it in the first place. if its not in the house im ok. if its around, it will get eaten. the whole box. or the whole chocolate bar, or whatever.

SAME HERE, if its in the house im game and lose...trying so hard to change that. if i could get tougher on discipline my entire life would be figured out!

Tonight I had popcorn at the cinema and my guts are in shreds (nice). I've lost count of how many times I've said "never again" :)

Hi family. I've been eating 100% raw for the past 40 days. Before that, I was about 70% raw for a few years, and I struggled with bulimia (purging the cooked food that I ate). No purging, no cooked food for 40 days. My cheeks are slightly puffy ...

im confused. matt monarch swears by regular colonic hydrotherapy. its his no.1 raw tip, didn't think it could be dangerous but now it kind of makes sense. enemas seem much more natural in comparison.

I've heard great, great things about Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, CA. I know that isn't really in the Los Angeles area, but it's still in CA and I believe they provide students the option to stay in their 'Living Light Inn'....

The way I see it is that generally people who label themselves are confident of the path they have chosen while, also generally, people don't don't label aren't quite as sure if what they're following is the right way to go.
