Im new to this movement and lucky to stumble accross simple eating plans advised by the natural hygiene 80/10/10 athletes. I know lots of people on this site say they are 'pushy' and 'preachy'.
My question is 'dont you find all those adverts 'pushy' and 'preachy'?. Personally i just switch off. Heck, there is an advert on this forum every page! But i dont mind because i know its just sales hype and people got to sell something 'new'.
Do people find it pushy and preachy that they get emailed sales lists regularly?
How do people feel when others tell them 'Your vegan diet is idealogy and you must learn to eat blood and animal products despite what your intuition tells you!'
I know so many people that leave the raw foods movement because of pushy and preachy money hungry supplement sellers. Go listen to their infomercials and it sounds exactly the same as the cooked version. If the raw diet they claim is so 'nourishing' then why do they sell antidotes to the conditions their 'raw' diet causes? Candida(magic pills and cleanses), constant sugar cravings(honey, raw cakes), lack of energy(cacao and mushrooms).
People are so sucked in, that they even pay money to attend a 'raw' wedding!. 'Hurry tickets selling out fast and will experience a price rise after this date..'
Ive got respect for these Doug Grahams, Rick Dina's and Durianriders out there because they walk their talk 100% and provide the most objective nutritional and lifestyle plan out there. You ask them a question and you dont get some wishy washy vague answer, but rather you get what you need to hear and often its not what we want to hear and sometimes we just got to 'suck it up' and act like adults and be responsible for our actions.
Namaste.
