Give it to me Raw

Hello everybody!

Since I haven't eaten meat (8 years), i have weird feelings in my legs, arms; something like pins and needles and it is very uncomfortable, these "prickling sensation". Even I don't know how to describe it.

I think everybody felt this feeling.

And it is really strange... comfortless.

So I have read and found in the Internet, that people who doesn't eat MEAT and don't eat enough B12 (and many more) can have these feelings and it is a little bit dangerous.

DO you think, I have pins and needles because of deficit of B12?
Do you also have these feelings ?
Do you take B12 - vitamin ?

thank you for help!

LETS BE HEALTHY AND HAPPY!

i've had pins and needles in my legs for years... i call them -- creepy crawlies... i swear that's what it feels like.. it usually happens to me whenever i sit down to relax or go to sleep... and my legs jerk on their own! LOL!

i was diagnosed with 'restless leg syndrome' -- i was told to avoid caffeine -- doing that certainly helped

recently tho... since going more raw... i do have a sensation in my legs -- they feel really heavy, as well as tingling and numb... what is that? i don't take any supplements... b12 sounds like something i might have to consider... thanks didn't even think of that

hope you feel better....

Another supplement is GABA. It's best taken at night. You can get chewable ones too so you don't have to worry about swallowing.

b vitamin deficiencies..... b6 as well as b12 can cause those symptoms. If you are deficient for too long you can get permanent nerve damage! best get a blood test or start taking a sublingual supp and see if it eases a bit. I have nerve damage from deficiencies, and raw has not helped it so far (1 year)

go to a doctor immediately. if it is a b12 deficiency (which it really could be) you will need immediate action to save your limbs. this is very dangerous and the damage could be irreversible. do not hesitate...go to your doctor!
and start taking b12 supplements now!

i wish you all the best!!

The pins and needles have nothing to do with your diet. Pins and needles is a sensation that is caused by pressure on the nerves that go to that particular area of the body. It's like stepping on a garden hose - if you step on a hose with water flowing fully what happens at the other end? A Chiropractor uses gental force to remove pressure on the nervous system caused by misalignment in the spine. This pressure caused by misalignment is called "subluxation" or literally - "stage of less light" as the brain is not able to fully send messages to the affected area of the body due to the pressure. Find a good, wellness based Chiropractor and have a check up. Bless!

Pins and needles is a classic symptom of vitamin B12 deficiency. I recommend that you have a doctor check your levels. If you have a deficiency, you either should supplement with vitamin B12 or eat foods containing vitamin B12. Animal foods are the most sure-fire way to get vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 deficiency was known as "pernicious anemia" before vitamin B12 was identified. The old-fashioned cure for pernicious anemia was eating liver. It would only take a dime-sized piece of liver per day to cover your vitamin B12 needs - you could cut the liver into tiny pieces, freeze it, and swallow a piece every day like a vitamin. Or you could just take a supplement - but I personally am biased towards food sources of vitamin.

ihihi thenak you for your message!

but i think i will not eat meat nono..
there are so many toxins, hormons, medicine and i will be probably more sick..

i even made a short movie (i m young film maker http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6xZQQJC8_Y )

but it is good idea to take b12 from REAL food, not from pills.
i just need to find now some good food with b12..

If you're open to animal foods but just not meat, milk and eggs have vitamin B12.
I was a vegan for four years before adding animal products back in. I thought I would be sicker too, but actually I feel great. The key is to get your animal foods from a quality source, where no toxins, hormones or medicines are used.

I had becomed RAW fan... before i discovered this website and all these wise things here and all these stuffs.

i becomed RAW because I was bored of SHIT-food that we all eat and it is normall for us.

i lived for 3 years in very small village in poland, europe. everything what we had in shops was produced in this village.
without toxins, without meat-hormons, without medicine added to food.

and u know what, REAL MILK FROM REAL COW is so so so different than this what u hav ein normall shops, even ecological.

milk from COW, it looks different, smells different and taste SO GOOD and wow!
maybe they should give it different name! because wow!

and cheese, omg!
i even cant explain!

i im writing so long message because i dont believe in food in shops.
even fruits and vegetables.. i choose very carefully.

and yesterday i tried to eat white cheese from shop, and today all my skin on hands is red and dry,
and i had the same sypthoms 3years ago when i ate milk etc.

so :)

i just wanna say, please dont eat milk and cheese just for your own health!

My supplement is natural, it's from fermented plum skins (i.e.bacterial).

possibly you may be b12 deficient. there are many different approaches to this. some supplement some prefer a more natural way than supplements and may choose to add dairy products or animal products to their diet. some people however have improved their b12 status on a raw vegan diet. the issue can sometimes be absorption.
