Water Ionizer vs Reverse Osmosis. What do you think is best ?

I really want to invest in either a water ionizer or a Reverse Osmosis machine but am not sure which to choose.

It seems that the argument for not getting RO water is that it takes all teh minerals out, but eating raw increases your intake of minerals right ?
So wouldn't green juices etc counteract this ?

This is the water ionizer I was considering http://theofficialwaterionizer.com/index.php you can rent it and then buy it which I thought sounded like a good idea.

What do you prefer RO water or ionized ?

After some research we settled on Jupiter Melody water ionizer. I usually add some lime juice in it. It has been working for me a few years now :)

Mmmm lime or lemon in water is so delicious.

I also heard that Reverse osmosis uses more water so some people prefer a water ionizer as it's better for the environment.

ionizers don't purify the water right? so if your just ionizing tap water, it's pointless. I've also heard that ro water doesn't remove the 'memory' of certain pharmaceuticals in the water and can be dangerous, not sure if there's any truth to that.

I'd get a distiller over an RO or Ionizer. Or go to findaspring.com and see if there's one near you where you can get free water.

Wow I had no idea that ionizing tap water was pointless.
I'm so glad I asked now because seriously I was about to spend £900 ($1456) on an ionizer and I would have felt so ripped off.
The water in our area isn't very good quality to begin with and tatses quite chlorine like, so a RO machine should remove this right ?

I have this melony water purifier that sings to me when the water comes out. Japanese technologh--they are smarties you know . The water is delish and alkalizeing.

Yeah, ionizers don't purify the water. I think the first priority is to drink pure water. Reverse Osmosis removes everything from the water - all metals, all biocides, all chemicals of any sort, including fluoride. If you drink a lot of water, taking in all that fluoride is really bad. I think some ionizers can use RO water that you add some minerals back into , like adding a little Himalayan crystal salt.

I personally use RO water for drinking. I use my own glass gallon jugs (old apple cider jugs) and fill them up at the store at the RO water dispenser. That way, I know I'm getting the most pure water available. I've been drinking it for about 15 years now. As far as minerals, I hear two different takes on that. Some people say the minerals in water - mainly hardness or calcium carbonate is actually bad for the body and precipitate out in our body (see David Wolfe's take on calcium). Others say we need the minerals. I tend to think that all the minerals I get from food, especially greens, is quite sufficient.

I prefer spring water. See if you can find a source near where you live to collect your water.

Nothing beats it!

Have you considered buying a distiller? They're only around $100, and produce a liquid completely void of anything - good or bad. What you can then do, is add some Himalayan salt (about a tsp / 10ltrs) to the water just to re-mineralise it. Hook it up to solar panels and its free clean water for life.

The place I get barley grass from - they've just recently started playing around with argon water, or frequency infused water (the terminology eludes me). There's a device onto which one places a vial of distilled water, and the machine pulses a particular frequency into the water, which the water retains. The reason for using distilled water is that its memory is blank, the distillation process deletes all data stored in the waters memory. The idea is that you drink it, and the frequencies (which correlate to particular disease remedies, states of mind etc.) infuse through the body. Kind of like Binaural beats, just wetter. Whether it works or not, I've no idea.

That's definitely Pure. I recognize the food, but even if I didn't, I recognize the plate and the table too. Ha, I've been there way too many times.
