"I tried supplementing to make up for what I wasn’t getting by leaving animal products out of my diet, but the more I studied what I was missing in order to supplement it, the more substances I discovered. I’ve finally bowed to mother nature and admitted that I can’t do it better than her."

I'm still trying to get my hands on some decent raw dairy. I love Fage Total Greek yogurt, but it's not organic/grass-fed (it's hormone free and low antibiotic, from what they told me) so I only eat it for a treat sometimes. There's nothing like it, though!
I do like Trader's Point Creamery grass-fed organic yogurt with chia seeds mixed in (like tapioca- yum!) Not raw, but I figure it's still a highly digestible food. It's almost yellow colored, from the grass feeding and has a slightly cheesy (I think of it as "European") taste.
I love dairy but I do have to watch it- too much makes me a snot-head! My goal is to get some good raw milk (preferably goat or sheep) to make yogurt, kefir and soft cheese. I do better on goat and sheep than cow.
Looks like there are TONNES of raw dairy farms in Tennessee, jealous.
I don't mix well with non-raw dairy, I get super sick from it - all sorts of digestive troubles there. Looking forward to trying some of the cultured raw stuff soon, I think I'm going to give it a month on just regular milk and then add kefir or yoghurt and see what happens :)

We finally got a law passed recognizing the legality of cow shares:) Raw milk still can only be sold fort "pet consumption".
I'm having a heck of a time finding a goat share that isn't $$$ and that I don't have to drive 45+ min. to get a gallon for 12 bucks. I'll probably get some cow's milk and culture it. I've never really liked plain milk.
Funny- I used to think that dairy broke me out but then I figured out that it was the combo of dairy and carbs (like ice cream or pizza) that was the real culprit, as I haven't had one cyst on my chin since eating dairy in a low glycemic diet:)
Can't wait for kefir experiments which will begin around Thanksgiving for me. My farmer friend can't fulfill the local need until his new cow is "on-line" around that time. I've been talking to him about goats, but he has some rather strong opinions about the "joys" of goat husbandry. (I think goats can be challenging...)
i gotta tell you...when i was eating high fruit and no overt fats or rarely,my skin seem to get looser and detached from my body,it was weird....now its bounced back really nicely,i must admit i am a little vain in looking at my skin with pride these days,te he dont tell anyone ok?i think ive earned it after all the blah i put my body through with eating high fruits all day long...what a nooga i was,oh well i have learned....and my body is loving me for it..

your sheep milk reminds me of a funny story. i had organic sheep milk yoghurt once. i accidently got it instead of the goats one i wanted to try. i have to say it was gross. i couldn't help but think of it as tasting sheepish or like the smell of a sheep. i prefer goats milk or dairy yoghurt. oh and raw organic goats feta is really quite amazing cheese. unlike any i've ever had.
I would urge any vegans to give a lot of thought to this subject. Two years ago, the prospect of ever touching animal products again was beyond me. I've been vegetarian since I was 12, and I went fully vegan at 15; and even before I went vegan I would barely ever touch dairy, only occasionally ate eggs. I did it for ethical reasons primarily, and with the influence of veggie and vegan advocacy groups, I thought I was doing it for health. While I did miss the teenage acne phase, I don't think being vegan gave me much else besides an undeserved air of superiority.
The necessity of some animal proteins in the human diet makes evolutionary sense. If it didn't, it would mean that we are the only animal on Earth that consumes exclusively plant matter. A few centuries ago, it might have made sense to adopt an overtly plant diet; but with the effort we go to today to rid our food of bugs, it isn't sustainable. No other species is so picky when it comes to food, even strict carnivores will eat the stomach contents of an herbivore if it gets in the way, and some do it intentionally. It simply doesn't make sense to go against nature in the way vegans do. If it's ethics you're after, seek out a local farm or even find a family nearby that keeps chickens or cows and sells the excess. That covers the damage of importing and agribusiness farming as well as the humane treatment of animals.
But I won't begrudge someone for being vegan if it works for them. Personally, I think there is plenty of room for anomalies :) I just don't like it when people struggle openly with issues of malnutrition, issues that could be solved by adding a few ounces a week of whole, natural foods; and instead go for years doing god knows what to their system with pills and powders. That alone, that someone would feel more comfortable taking a b-12 supplement than eating an egg every once in a while should trigger some serious WTF reactions.
Hello again . I'm not a female and have never taken them but I have studied about Candida/yeast imbalances and medications and continuous use of birth control pills can kill off the friendly bacteria in the bowel allowing the unfriendly "rascals" ...
I remembered I took some pictures from last week. We used bees wax candles, like anthony was saying, white/ off white. No filter. We used a biodegradable paper plate, to cover the head. Alot of wax comes out!

Yes, at the end of a candling session, I always suggest the person open his/her own candle to discover any gold treasure. I can definitely tell ear wax fro candle wax . If you use a good grade candle candle, all of the candle gets burned in the pr...
