monkies and many primates, preen and groom each other. is it for the "snack", maybe. but it maybe because that is the best way to exterminate the lice. ridding the others in your camp, and they in turn ridding you, makes it enjoyable for everybody.plus the touchy, cuddly aspect is wonderful, too. they seem loveable of their own.
