"I tried supplementing to make up for what I wasn’t getting by leaving animal products out of my diet, but the more I studied what I was missing in order to supplement it, the more substances I discovered. I’ve finally bowed to mother nature and admitted that I can’t do it better than her."
Do vegans tend to get these Health problems because of the food they eat... or because of their whole lifestyle -including their ancestors lifestyles....??????????????
You do realise ice doesn't turn into water straight away. I know you do.
But i'll remind you of this LAW...
With an increase of quantity comes a sudden and dramatic change in quality.
But i don't know each individual person's diet. But haven't we decided that Enzymes have a catalytic action which means we don't have to worry about the foods we eat. As long as we are eating fresh, living foods....
We've also decided we need all amino acids... avocado and nuts and whatever else...
Other than this... vegans should be a.o.k on the nutrition side...
And i know we haven't decided food isn't the only part of health.
But there is quite a few things which cause disease.
There's also other things which cause health. Sunlight, Pure Water*(hydropathically as well), Pure Air (diaphramic and rhythmic breathing, Exercise, MENTAL POISE(huge with people today).. REST and spinal integrity.
a lot of young american vegans were sugar addicts for the most part. it was a lot like the 8-1-1ers where it helped them eat as much as they wanted, get sugar buzzes, and still be thin- but if that is all you do most people end up having problems because the diet isn't diverse enough.

Remind me? Maybe you should teach it to me first.....since it's currently your assertion, not law. But, I'd love to know the origins of this "law" of yours. Maybe I'll believe it too.... if you can tell me more about it and who proclaims it to be law.

VERY OFTEN A CHANGE IN QUANTITY CHANGES THE QUALITY. This is the principle of quantitative and qualitative change that occurs all through Nature. The chemist knows that by changing the quantity of chemicals in a compound he changes the qualitative nature of that compound. A very simple example will serve to explain what is meant. Water at a temperature of 50 degrees Celsius is a liquid. If we increase the quantity of heat by 50 degrees the visible liquid becomes an invisible gas. If we reduce the heat until the temperature is zero we find that the gas is now a solid block of ice. Here we see a concrete example of two simple quantitative changes producing two qualitative changes. Again we take the example of nitrous oxide or laughing gas. This compound consists of two parts of nitrogen and one part of oxygen, which is a gas. Yet, if we add another four atoms of oxygen the result is nitric anhydride that is not a gas but a solid. Take also what occurs in the human body when it develops a fever. At the normal temperature of 37 degrees toxic material may be deposited in the body tissues as a solid, yet if the body temperature rises to 39 degrees, as it may during a fever or healing crisis, the solid material will become liquefied. This principle occurs frequently in Nature. Another example of this principle is the story related about Napoleon. When the French army under Napoleon attacked Egypt he observed that the Mamelukes were individually stronger than the French soldiers. He found that in small groups the Mameluke soldiers could always beat the French soldiers. One Mameluke appeared to be stronger and braver than one Frenchman. But here was an apparent anomaly. It was noted that when a thousand Mameluke soldiers fought a thousand French soldiers, the Mamelukes were beaten. This example shows that Napoleon understood this dialectical principle. In small groups the French were weak but in larger groups they were stronger because they were organized better and thus the change in quantity of soldiers produced a change in the quality of these same soldiers.
Does it take all that stream of consciousness to avoid answering the question?
I only want to know where you found the LAW I quoted. But now it seems you are back-tracking and saying "very often"...instead of law. (which is fine....but then it's not really honest to call it a law in the first place...right?)

my bad - i am back tracking! but it's a phenomena which relates to health and most endeavors and actions in life. i got it from Edmond Bordeaux Szekely - in his book on dialectical thinking. Can't remember the name. There's another book on dialectical thinking i have by Kenneth S Jaffery - which has the same Principle.
and sugar from fruit is not like refined sugar - so you can not relate the two in the same way.
if you are eating fruit only - the proof has been bad in cases.
but each case is different with many variables. so we would need to FULLY discuss each person - in extreme details (only the important/relevant details)
for instance - what was their lifestyle before.... we must examine all the history and all the meat.
what surgery, what drugs, what diets, what ancestors did, what mentality is like, etc.
I watch a lot of TV. For a normal person, it's probably too much, but for an aspiring TV writer, it's probably not enough. I watch Top Chef, Project Runway, Heroes, Gossip Girl, Greek, Biggest Loser, Glee, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, and Bon...
