Traveling to Asia and Vaccinations/anti-malarials?!?

Hey everyone,
I'm traveling to Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand in June, and know its recommended to get vaccines and take anti-malarial tablets. I don't want to do either of these...for obvious reasons.
Who has travelled to these ends of the world and what did you do for precautions, your help and advice would be very appreciated ;)

There are a lot of herbs you can take that are anti-viral, anti-bacterial that will do all you need to keep you safe.

I would take a lot of immune support herbs the whole time you are there. Garlic pills, high doses of vitamin c, zinc, elderberry, echinecea, silver, etc..
some good products here, http://www.jonbarron.org

Check out MMS by Jim Humble. there is a free e book that he is distributing all over the internet, and the actual MMS is very cheap, about $20 for a year's supply. It cures malaria and most other viral infections. You can download the e book here and see for yourself, his story is fascinating reading in itself...

I took some homeopathic anti-malaria pills with me, and I used neem oil mixed with coconut oil as a repellant. I got some bites, but I think I was mostly in non-malaria areas. I also took mms with me, but I didn't end up using it there. It seems to be a good thing to take along though. I did a lot of immune supporting herbs in my smoothies before I went too.

I went to India, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand and didn't take any anti malarials, Apparently most malaria is immune to the vaccines and I heard a lot of horror stories about what it can do to the liver. Like I mentioned before, the MMS seems like the best option, but check it all out and research it yourself so you don't worry and you can just focus on having a lot of fun ;)

I had about 10 vaccinations with no side effects...this was way before I was raw. I had the vaccinations because I had never been told they were potentially harmful, I had no problems.
Got sick in India though, we didn't realise that some of the bottled water we bought was tap water which street kids refilled and used their own plastic sealing machines to re seal them and sell them as clean water. But you can't let yourself get all paranoid, even when we were sick we were laughing about it and it passed pretty quickly, all part of the adventure ;)
We ate street food, didn't take any particular precautions and lived as free and wild as we wanted to. We tried absolutely everything and had a great time. We tried the local marijuana drink called a Bhang Lassi in India which was super, super potent, and blew my mind off for an evening which was a big surprise - I had never tried anything like it before either, I was only 18, we went into the really hectic busy city in a rickshaw and I heard all the car horns and bycyle bells as a beautiful harmonious symphony, it was amazing.
Another day, my friend has a massage where the guy simply massaged the back of her knee and to her complete amazement she had an orgasm! We laughed about that for days. I still laugh when I remember the look on her face when she told us about it!
I was with 3 other girls, people were so friendly and interested in us and why we were travelling and who we were. We felt welcomed everywhere we went.
Thailand is so friendly, we met so many lovely men there, we all fell in love millions of times over.
I love travelling you just never know what is going to happen!!

You can claim religious exemption to get past the legal requirements of getting vaccines. There is a form you need to fill out and sign, I believe.

Best of luck!

Thanks for all your advice!! I feel much better now :)
Are there really legal requirements for the vaccines, like they check your papers at the border, i've never heard this before?

I was in Malaysia, Cambodia, and Thailand two years ago. I got vaccines for Hepatitis and something else (I don't even remember what!) before I came here, to Taiwan, but I didn't get any for Malaria or yellow fever as recommended for Southeast Asia, simply because I waited till the last minute to go to the doctor. No one checked me about vaccines, although on some landing forms they ask if you've been in regions that are typically yellow fever zones, etc.

In Borneo (Malaysia) my boyfriend and I used a ridiculous amount of bug spray to keep the leeches and mosquitoes from devouring us. We tried citronella and natural sprays but I might as well have been covering myself in sugar water, unfortunately. Have real bug spray JUST in case, if you plan on hiking or going in the jungle.

Thanks Loren. Makes sense to me. My problem is that when I blend (which means more volume of fruits) then i am more regular with my bowels. What I can eat & chew doesn't always trigger peristalsis in the same way. I had chemo a few years back and ...

I don't know. But a chiropractic subluxation means that you either have too little or too much electricity flowing to your organs. Too little means your temperature will be below 37 degrees. And you probably lack energy and may have chronic dise...
