Sooooooo....ladies and gents..I just google searched top 10 raw superfoods....and it came up with a whole bunch of sites with JUST superfoods....including Steak, Eggs, Salmon....somehow I dont think Steak and Eggs are up there on the RAWWW superfoods list....
So I've found one question Google cant answer.. ;)
Can you lovely people help me out...I've just done a trip to my local but very small organic shop and came away with 2 lara bars...thats all they had that was raw, other than a few bananas and oranges... :p
haha nothing like a bit of cacao power,actually sugar cane juice use to be on my list,it would totally super me up...but all that sugar,scratchy scratchy itch itch....
I can't believe no one's said COCONUT! (and the coconut water) it's great for everything including its anti-cancer properties and you can use it for oil or externally.
for me the top superfoods I use a lot are
cacao
aloe
blue-green algae
blue agave
Noni juice
coconut
Yum i've got a whole pack of coconut from the organic shop, have to go dig into that, it's so hard though, maybe i'll put it in my next smoothie :) yum!! :) We dont have fresh coconuts here yet in New Zealand, hopefully real soon with summer on its way.
Heres my list (I know some of these are combinations of foods)
1.green juices,
2.green smoothies made with fruits and greens, stevia or honey as sweetener, no added fat because it slows digestion,
3.chia seeds, I don't know of anything that fills you up like chia seeds.
4.raw eggs, because they contain things that are hard to find in the vegan diet - b12, long chain omega fatty acids, vitamin d in the winter, and the amino acid profile of eggs is also just too ridiculous.
5.sprouts
6.raw honey, because of the enzymes
7.colostrum, only if you want to build up your body or thicken your tissues if you feel frail
8.celery, because its so alkalizing
But personally I think that live fruits and vegetables is the best it gets. IMO super food powders that you buy online or at the store are basically a waste of money, because they loose most of their enzymes and life force, it is still healthy, but I don't think it compares to things like green juices or green smoothies .
I would say that nothing reduces cravings better than eating a bunch of chia seeds. They are amazing because when you eat them they soak up all the water in your stomach and create a thick gel that makes you feel full and then it pushes all the stuff out of there, also very hydrating if you soak with water.

I don't think our soil has nearly the same trace mineral concentration, so I think unrefined salt can be helpful. The seawater example doesn't fly because, like any substance, what is good in small amounts can be bad in large amounts.
