So as of late I'm not entirely up to date with all of the immunizations and vaccines and what not that I'm supposed to have done - and lately my doctor has been pushing me to get the new Gardasil vaccination (one that's supposedly meant to prevent some forms of cervical cancer) and my parents are saying that I need to get the rest of my vaccinations done as well. I believe I'm supposed to be getting a hepatitis one done along with some other one (can't remember the name lol) but apparently it's for some flu-like disease that can be fatal. However I feel very uncomfortable with the general idea of getting them done but I also do want to protect myself from becoming ill. Not to mention with all the talk of the swine flu going around it's raised some alarm and has begun to make a lot of people nervous lately.
Sooo my question is - what does everyone think about being vaccinated? Is it a risk to not have it done? Would it be better to just get the shots or to rely on my immune system to protect me all on its own? And what about people who aren't raw? My fiance eats a fairly healthy diet (albeit a SAD one) but he's by no means raw. Should he be vaccinated?
There are some really good books out there that look at the pros and cons of vaccinations. From all the reading I've done, I'd say DON'T get vaccinated!
The Gardasil vaccine has already caused several deaths and if you're afraid of cervical cancer, there are natural HPV protocols that work.
As far as Swine Flu goes, they don't have a vaccine to prevent it, so getting a regular flu shot won't protect you against that strain. You can take any homeopathic formula that contains "influenzinum" and take some a few times a week. You'll be naturally innocculated against the flu.
You're probably not going to contract Hepatitis (and even if you did, you can treat it naturally).
That's a good point Erin. IF I ever did come down with something or get infected someway I'd turn to a raw food healing plan before I started taking any kind of medications for it anyways.
Food Can Not cure anything. You are right. However the body can heal it self when it has the proper nutrition and is not repeatedly hit with the equivalent to nuclear waste on a daily basis.
If you do decide to have vaccinations you can take a homeopathic remedy called Thuja before and after and it will decrease side effects. It worked for me.
yes many people who take that here are really healthy. they never took all these weird shots. i am lucky to be off vaccines. i used to take all these vaccines as a child. it was my mum's choice. then i had all these horrible allergies and reactions in my early teens. i was always on vaccines to ward them off. cant say i was better. i never felt good on them anyway. the allergies went off on their own as soon as i cut off some of the stuff i was reacting to.
i used to when i had cable tv. i loved watching cooking shows with vegetarian food. jamie oliver is great! it actually gives me really good ideas for raw food dishes and i learn alot about combining flavours. once i saw this stuffed tomato and stu...
I think its more like religious (spiritual) people are inclined towards healthy eating (raw foodism/veganism) insomuch as they recognize the value of life (which is worth living)...
and the desire to enhance the quality of that life...

Hi Lee, I agree with you in many ways and would have said an unreserved yes to your statement before I tried raw vegan eating. Maybe it is different for different people, but I have been totally surprised at how much what I eat has been affecting ...
