currently ive been using my families saucepan pot thing for boiling water and brewing teas. its made of who knows what, its probably some 'non stick' material which is probably less than ideal.
im looking for a good material to brew tea in. Anybody have experience with yixing pots? Ive been looking at yixing, glass, or ceramic. which do you think would be best?

Thank you, i checked out the YiXing website. Those look nice!! One of those would be nice to have. Im trying now to find a glass kettle to boil the water in. I guess im anxious so i went to teavana at the mall tonight (dont know if they have those stores where you are) but unfortunately they didnt have glass kettles that are able to be put directly on the stove. Found some online though.
Not to divert the subject, but which kinds of tea does everyone drink? This is something I've always wanted to start a forum about but figured I would get shot down by those who look down upon tea as I did in a previous forum, so I've kept to myself... I figure this is a safe place though and would welcome any information as to what others enjoy and would recommend. :)
Ok I can't resist, I just heard this TEA joke and I can't stop laughing at it!
One day a duck walked into a bar.
He looked up at the bartender and said "Got any tea?"
The bartender looked at the duck and growled "NO! This a bar, I don't serve tea and I don't serve ducks...now get lost!" With that the duck left.
On the next day in the same bar the same duck walked in. He looked up at the bartender and said "Got any tea?"
Again the bartender yelled "NO! I thought I told you I don't serve tea..now scram you dumb duck!" So the duck waddled off.
On the day after that the same duck walked into the same bar. He looked up at the bartender but before he could speak the bartender yelled "Look duck, I don't got any tea, and if you ask me again I'll staple your feet to the floor. Now go away!" So the duck left.
The following day the same duck walked into the same bar. He looked up at the bartender and said "Got any staples?"
The bartender replied in disgust "No, I don't got any staples..."
To which the duck replied "Good, I'm glad to hear that. Got any TEA?"

I pretty much love all tea! green, white, black is all good. Lately ive been drinking green jasmine which has been really good. I love yerba mate. love experimenting with herbs. Im doin a detox thing now so ive been making dandelion, burdock, milk thistle tea. also just starting making reishi mushroom tea!
Though i have yet to order from them (im sure i will soon) Mountainroseherbs.com also seems like a great place for herbs/teas.
i use enameled cast iron for brewing medicinal teas (bit of a pain) and a regular beehouse pot for jasmine green tea or happy herbals, as well as various in-cup strainers.
Is it possible to put that pretty glass kettle straight on a gas burner?
I have never dried them myself, but in France and Italy you can buy them already dried (at what temperature I don't know). It was awhile since I ate them (before I went raw).
Lost is same insanely good storytelling, character development. I love how they spend time flashing back to show you the character's demons and how the island is bringing them to face what used to be a big thing for them. Plus, you never know what...
Make this, it is my new favorite thing.

We're a minority group within a minority group... I figured we needed our own little space to socialize! :) Besides, some of us are single and would like to meet other gay raw cuties! :)
An interactive story... this or something similar is very doable with Ning ... real-time 'games'... real-time social network gaming... lots of potential here~
