Give it to me Raw

I've had acne for some time now. But now it has completely vanished. And had tried absolutely every thing! Be it Proactive, cutting out different foods and ended up with a few guidelines that I believe to be the "holy grail" of clear skin.

My tips are:
- Don't stress
- Don't overeat (EVER!!)
- Don't eat refined foods
- Eat as much raw as possible

- Drink green tea
- Take vitamin B supplements (eg. Skin B5)
- Alkalize your body (nr. 1 advice)
- Start the day by drinking 1L of water.
- Do HIIT several times a week

(extra stuff I do: Maca, Spirulina, Probiotics)

Personally I love the sauna. (I go about 4 times a week). Initially you will probably break out but my nr. 1 quick fix for acne is absolutely boiling yourself in the sauna until you can't take it no more, than run and take an ICE cold shower!
Works like a charm!

And yeah,,,Good skin is the result of internal conditioning not skin products!

Follow this and your skin will be awsome!

It's probably a combination of all of those things, I don't know, but the results are real.

i suffered from acne since i was twelve years old, which i think stemmed from hormone imbalances.
around the age of fourteen, i got into a diet that i whole heartedly believed would clear my acne... the catch was that as a requirement it was necessary to eat unhealthy amounts of fish and protein (at least 3 servings a day of fish.)
after about one year it seemed as if this way of eating was working... but in reality i ended up getting, what i think, was serious mercury poisoning.
at the age of fifteen i lost my period, for about two years... and could not get it back... even on birth control.
right before my seventeenth birthday i found raw, and within a year and a half all of my hormonal problems and cystic acne issues were non existant.
i always thought special skin care or washes or pills or even food would be the "magic cure" to my issues, but i ended up learning on raw that health is really just about listening to your body.
the "secret" to healthy skin is:

- raw food (for me i started out on extremely high fat while i was detoxing... but my after photo was taken when i was eating around 90% high fruit, mostly blended, monomeals... which i happened to naturally gravitate to)
*i actually only got into blended because i had braces.... little did i know that i would end up hooked :p

-sunlight... knowing exactly how much your body needs... if you listen, your body will tell you that it has had enough

-not overeating

-stay organized and focused on your goal

-de-stressing (meditation, alone time, whatever)

-a couple hours a day of exercise (listen to your body! do not over extend yourself)

- and trianing your mind to learn how to handle stressful situations (i.e. not letting your emotions run out of control)

-spending as much time everyday, as you can outside

-sleep ( i slept whenever i felt sleepy, if i knew that i did not have any immediate obligations to fulfill)

-and MOST IMPORTANTLY listen to your body... it knows what to do.... i never went by any book or guru... i simply set a limit of all raw (100%) and let my body have whatever it craved as long as it was something raw... the miracle was, my body knew what it was doing... even when my mind was thinking "this is crazy, you can't eat this much fat, you can't eat only this type of food... you can't not eat today.... this is extreme." you have to tone out that voice, and really listen to your intuition.

i am actually struggling with most of those issues above, and of course, as a result, i am having issues with my skin and weight.... though nothing near as bad as you see in the before photo.

thanks for the compliments leena... though i currently do not look the same as i do in that after photo....
i am going through some emotional issues and so have started sliding backward a bit... i'm breaking out now.... it's pretty pathetic... when i get really stressed out, i begin running as fast and as hard as i can from myself...
now i have some skin and weight issues again... nothing like before, but still... it is disappointing and irresponsible.

anyway,
you are right roselene, it did hurt... alot.... physically and spiritually... it was like i was scarred on the inside and out.

on top of the cystic acne, i think i was also suffering from some sort of parasite or candida infection, because my skin itched so bad... i would scratch until it bled, and yet it would still itch.
i had all sorts of issues.... some were solved by rawfood.... others are in need of a more spiritual approach ...which i'm still working on.

After the third or fourth day I seem to function better then when I am eating heavy meals. My last fast I was walking eveyday. I just feel great when I am fasting.

I have done a 40 day water fast before. So I guess for some people it miight be dangerous but it works for me. I do better on water then juice fasting.
