Give it to me Raw

So how bad do you want to be in denial? How much will you grasp to dogma, not facing the truth that we do so much to harm ourselves?

We rarely listen to our bodies, instead we get whisked away by "gurus" or charismatic people who are the farthest thing from those who bare the truth.

Most of these ego-maniacal know-it-alls are full of it. Not sure about that? Want to know how a strict vegan diet can deplete your body of B12? Read about our friend Harley, aka Durianrider.

From http://health.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=695434:
...remember, Harley completely cuts out anything to do with animal products and relies purely on raw fruit, veggies and nuts. His results have got Susie really worried: "My biggest concern is that your vitamin B12 is one of the lowest clinical levels we have ever seen!"
Harley's B12 was just 78. That's drastically lower than the normal intake range from 145 to 637 and means our vegan could be susceptible to anemia, blurry vision and loss of feeling in the hands and feet in the long term. "In the case of vegans, it's really up to them if they decide to supplement with B12. It is primarily from animal-based food so it's probably worth him discussing it with his GP or medical specialist," says Susie.

Still sure that a diet that you NEED to supplement is the best one for humans? Hmm..... it seems that the DR's take on the 80/10/10 is one of the biggest scams. Follow DR to illness if you like, it's your choice.

What do you have to lose, besides your teeth? Oh yes..., poor vision, no feeling in your hands, and anemia. Oh, to dogma!

Thanks Cas.

The funny thing is given what i have read & understood of Ayurveda, its as if all Issues & Fads & Diets that hav e worked, failed etc.. all have an explanation there.

How & why raw works for certain things, cooked works for others, fats work v/s cause issues, grains, dairy etc. etc.

PS: Casandra.. I do not want to be a "Guinea Pig" for future generations. I am going to experiment a LITTLE BIT.. and LEVERAGE 5000 years of Ayurvedic Knowledge to guide it. No more Fads.

Thats my choice. Shared, expressed. For others and you.. Make yours :)

I like Durianrider, and I love his comments and his videos. Sometimes he has a very cynical way to explain things with building comparative pictures on things people wrote here....

But I´m sure even if some avatar would be reborn into our world today, people would pick on him a lot in similiar internet-discussions.

LOL!

"Fools deride me when I take human form" - Krishna in Bhagvad Gita

Isnt it funny that in every culture / religion / script there have always been believers, followers, sceptics & haters :)

PS: Knowledge or Truths are rarely found in external debates, they rise within the conflicts, confusions & questions & silent intutions of the INNER Consciousness.

This guy is more popular on here than ever since being banned. It's like the Michael Jackson phenomenon.

You can introduce raw goats cheese to get your B12, not vegan I know but still vegetarian and still Raw. I did and straight away started to feel a lot stronger. I still think if you live in a tropical environment then 100 percent vegan is possible.

Wow that's got to be tough. I think I would set myself on fire if I had to live with or near either one of my parents. I'm going to try to keep distance from them & keep a diary. Thank you for the support RGG

Yeah, he doesn't look like the healthiest 62 year old. Well, at least he seems to look healthy at a glance, but he looks a bit aged for 62, and he seemed to have a stiff jaw or something going on there. And those doctors are the typical clueless ...

Finn, will it fade over time like most white & pastel color inks? Group tattoo, that's awesome. I like the camaraderie when someone with a misfit tattoo points to mine.
