I’m sorry, but has anybody else had enough of the notion that to be healthy and successful on raw foods you need to buy a ton of powders and potions from some super dude on the net who claims to feed himself entirely on a diet of avocados and lettuce? It just doesn’t make any sense. They then sell you the video explaining to you are never able to stay 100% raw and their NEW super powder that will help you even more. …. But it cost an arm and a leg because it’s harvested by monkeys that live in the hidden forests of machu pichu.
Seriously, do they think we are all THAT gullible?
How did the original concept of naturism become so distorted and bastardized by hungry entrepreneur?
Want the secret to staying 100% raw and healthy ….. click here and I’ll give it to you for free! :D
Today I read an interview with David Wolfe in the Purely Delicious magazine, http://tinyurl.com/ckyn68
, he said that he grows close to 100% of the foods he eats.
He has a huge farm in Hawaii called Noni Land, and he grows all the superfoods on his farm.
Superfoods come from Noni Land, not Machu Pichu! LOL!
Wolfe is raising our awareness of superfoods. No one heard of a goji berry 10 years ago, now we know it is a superfood. My friends here in Portland are growing Goji Berry plants in their greenhouse, and they are also growing Yacons. I love Yacons, and they are easy to grow here. If it wasn't for Wolfe, I'd never of heard of the Yacon or goji berry.
Regardless, Wolfe's new video's are awesome: http://www.therawdiet.com/longevity.html , I like how he says that eating raw is simply a habit. For example, brushing your teeth is a habit that you do every single day. If you can develop the habit of brushing your teeth, you can develop the habit of eating raw foods. "People form habits and habits form futures."
I sell superfoods in the UK and 'no' I don't think I could eat 30 bananas a day;-)
On a personal level, superfoods do work for me but I am thinking more local. This includes cutting out things that are flown in to the UK. Before you complain about Superfoods, I would imagine they're shipped into the country, rather than flown. I have heard some controversy over Cacao and I have taken down a page or two with this product, mostly the nibs and the powders. I still see nothing wrong with using Cacao but in moderation and not as the main part of your diet.
Although I don't personally think that a diet high in fruit is good for you (given that too many bananas are actually bad for you). I do agree that the message of Raw (living) Food is being overwhelmed by the multi marketing gurus in the US who are hyping the superfoods of superfoods (whatever they are) so they can drive up prices and make it as simple as possible for busy people to hand over their cash.
I try to promote wheatgrass growing on my site. I offer the powdered wheatgrass but I think freshly juiced is much better for you.Call me syndical but those who trash one thing are normally trying to sell you something else. I'd rather read the info, ignore the personality, and do what works for me. Take what you can from a good thing and you can't go wrong.
Now for the sales pitch: Want the secret of growing 100% raw wheatgrass.....click here and you can learn for free LOL
I also agree with Mike Snyder on this thread, in that Wolfe is driving the market hard and if it turns people on to Raw Food, then all the better. If Wolf wants to be the Bill Gates of the Raw Food movement then let him be. After all, we all might be bitching and moaning about Bill Gates and his buggy operating system but we still use the computers it runs off. The off shot of that is that we are all hear now, talking about Raw Food.
Believe me, people, this is only the beginning. The raw food movement will be a long and sustained wave that will wash away pretty much everything that we know as modern society today.
Like I said earlier, much of the anti-David Wolfe sentiment is thinly masked "anti success" paradigm.
Who in their right mind wouldn't want DW to succeed massively in bringing awareness to the raw food concepts? We all know that once a person starts moving toward this awareness, they begin to see the many flavors of raw and many of them actually gravitate away from David's specifics to investigate things like NA or 811 or whatever.
DW is the great showman and door opener. I disagree with many things he says, but I'm glad he's in this game and I hope he continues to be effective and successful. (BTW: I also want Doug Graham and Brian Clement and other raw leaders to be just as successful. We need all views. Let the individual sort it out...but let them hear all.)
What does it say about where we're at, when the truth does seem out of character and not the norm to be coming from the floor of one of the halls of 'so called power' that governs over what is best for us, our communities and more and more the ind...

He's still my hero, but I heard the guy was tyrannical and cruel to his family and co-workers. Marlon Brando talked about what a douchebag he was in his book; still though, comic genius.
OK, I guess to me getting rid of anger and envy and fear in ones self before being able to externalize it on a corporate scale just seems common sense as opposed to religious. Is that really religious? Or is it just that he is a Yogi addressing th...
