I am starting this discussion because I am considering buying a manual wheat grass juicer for juicing sprouts and greens mostly. I'd like to get a Green Star, but they cost $500! I used to own a manual wheat grass juicer before, but it started to rust so I threw it away. Does anyone have this juicer and would like to give feedback on it or would like to recommend another juicer? Remember I do live in Hawaii where there is lots of salt in the air that causes certain metals to rust. Much appreciated!
What about a high powered blender plus a nutmilk bag and an ounce of water? My megablender seems to sort everything out, though admittedly does sound like it's about to take off or something in process...
Haha. It's preparing for launch! Well, using a blender is known to oxidize the juice more which reduces the nutritional value. I have a blender too, but I don't make juices that way. Thanks for the suggestion.
I have one just like the one in the photo in your link. Way better than my Samson juicer for wheatgrass and barleygrass - the pulp you get out is almost dry.
My only word of advice would be that if it starts to get tough to turn the handle, turn it back a couple a little before trying again - I've had two handles crack at the pivot before now.

don't agree with the whole raw food creating a damp environment thing because of the wildly different effects of different raw foods. i've found candida to respond to 100% raw, several different approaches.
