Don't be afraid. Yes, of course raw food will help defend you from this disease. In fact, this is your best (and maybe only) defense. Since I have gone on a 100% raw plant-based diet (with absolutely no exceptions) I do not get sick anymore - ever. There are many, many others that will attest to the same thing. For 45 years on the SAD I would get a cold or flu every three months like clockwork. It is amazing. I have seen many other benefits but, sickness-free living alone is worth the price of admission to me!

I agree - recently everyone I worked with got a terrible cold and I was fine. I only get sick when I'm psychologically stressed. Take care of your physical body and stay positive emotionally - that's your best defense.

I think it will be okay. It sounds like someone manufactured the virus to me. It's not great news to hear, but the media loves to get people very scared too.

I am getting ready to move to Mexico, and now my family wants to stop me. First they didn't want me to move there because of the drug war, and now it is this flu. We will be fine. I wouldn't move if I was scared.

I think it is bad that everyone is going to hover inside because then they will get sick from not being active out in the fresh air. The sunshine and fresh air will help protect me from it.

I doubt we will catch it, but worst case scenario, we get sick. Then, we will just let it run it's course, and afterwards, we will have even stronger immune systems. I have faith that my daughter and I are both healthy enough to handle it. You are too I'm sure. <3

there's an outbreak in queens. my friend's old high school was shut down because over 200 kids were going to the nurse's office feeling sick. apparently a bunch of kids went on spring break in mexico and brought it back with them. shiiiiiiiiit. no bueno.

Yeah I've been seeing the folks with masks

I didn't even know what this was till someone called me cracking a joke about it today. I wish I had one of those masks today because some guy on the train next to me just reeked to high hell of cigarettes. should have told em I had swine flu.
