Give it to me Raw

I'm interested in knowing what you guys do for supplements. I have friends who are all raw who don't supplement @ all and know (according to doctors) that they have deficiencies (like anemia, b12, etc.). yet they continue not to supplement or juice more.

This is my regimen:
multivitamin
multimineral
msm
fish oil
B multi
rice protein

I throw other things in there as needed -- etc, but this is my everyday stack. yours?

If I haven't been all raw, does it count, or matter?

I take, fish oil, D3, primrose oil, some stuff for my juice feast at the moment, and usually I take Quantum Thyroid, C, kelp, B12 and preferable B complex also if i have some, magnesium, bee pollen, bee propolis, and royal jelly. ......there are some others occaionally, but these are the main ones.

Udos Choice is vegan, good combination of omega 3, 6 + 9, if fish is not an option.

fish oil is a strong anti-inflammatory. inflammation is indicated as the starting cause of heart disease and many cancers. control inflammation and greatly reduce your risk of both.

also manages cholesterol levels in a normal range - and is great for the hair and skin.

modulates mood also - but be careful because you can go into a funk if/when you run out and don't have any on hand.

plant omega 3s require an additional metabolizing step in the body that makes them far less bioavailable. they also go rancid almost immediately upon extraction so are a major source of oxidation in the body.

flax seed oil has been implicated in prostate issues and prostate cancer - i'd recommend no male take flax oil as a source of omega 3 - and take a molecular distilled fish oil, krill oil, or cod liver oil.

why not eat omegas then from fresh nuts or avocados?

I have Multiple sclerosis... I don't want to eat a lot of fat, or fish, so I take the fish oil. It is good for the myelin sheath. alex is right about plant sources of omega 3's. They just don't work as well as fish oil... they have to be converted over several times to be usable to the body, and by the time it goes through all that, it doesn't get to where it is needed most efficiently

There is a great fruit wholesaler in town, specializing in Local, organic fruit actually. All I need is a few people, a car and one willing person to go up there with me at some unholy hour (they close at 9am) once a week and it's beautiful fruit ...
