Give it to me Raw

OMG so i have gone 100% raw well okay so 100% minus the fact I cant stop the craving and the temptation and the actual GOING TO Starbucks for my mocha or gingerbread latte or whatever....Is this going to totally ruin the whole raw thing? If i have 1 a day but eat totally RAW for everything else will I still loose weight? Anyone have a magic pill that will keep me away from Starbucks... i swear they must put crack in their coffee lol....

I love teeccino! I just got a french press for my bf (he's a coffee drinker and I'm a tea drinker) so we can both use it.

I have been raw for a few months now; however, the one thing that I could not shake was my coffee addiction. Every morning, I would go to the coffee shop close to my apartment and get my fix. It was weird.. I would wake up and I could actually taste my coffee concoction (black coffee with quite a bit of rice or soy milk...and a pinch of cinnamon). It wasn't only the caffeine I was craving, but the little habits that went along with drinking it. I loved holding the warm cup in my hands, I loved how the acidity of the coffee would taste soooo amazing with a banana (I know.. I'm ridiculous!!),and I loved the quick energy jolt to jump-start my morning runs... BUT... I was determined to break free. AND I HAVE!!!! I spent a day mopeing around with an awful, piercing headache and another few days with my head stuck in the clouds... If I can do it.. I feel like ANYONE can do it :). Now? I feel a beautiful, sustained force of energy that I get from fruit...without the crazy crash that coffee used to leave me with. Good luck!!!! :)

What are you eating for food? If im not mistake starbucks has some intense coffee that can be upwards to 1200+ calories? I'm sure it is an addiction to the coffee itself, but I know when I first started I was totally unknowingly starving myself.

Starbucks is terrible for numerous reasons, if worst comes to worst, you should atleast switch your addiction to a local coffee shop. Atleast you will be doing the world a favor :)

ummm eating well I so far am just eating anything raw when ever i feel hungry not worrying bout calories or anything like that just trying to make it all raw. Mostly I start the day off with a green lemonade type drink (juicing a bunch of greens plus lemon and apple) then I eat fruit for most of the day with veggies in between and late in the day i go with some seeds/sprouts or nuts.... ya as for a drink being 1200+ i dont know about that I know some of them can be outrageous like 500+ cals, i try and for sure stay away from those ones :) but ya they are all bad i know :)

if you are craving sweets you need to up your fruit intake. take a banana and an apple when you go to startbucks for your tea and you wont feel like your latte. the banana is creamy and the apple is sweet.

or invent your own raw ginger bread latte

almond milk, banana, cinnamon, honey or agave, powdered ginger blend it all up and voila ... starbucks in your own home!!

your recipe is amazing! I tried it and I'm going to drink it all the time! However, I had to substitute soy milk for almond milk because I don't have almonds to make almond milk. But its better than cow's milk right? I think so. yummy!

Add Subway cookies to this. I've worked at subway for 2 years and become completely addicted. They have 200+ calories PER cookie! But they taste sadly amazing :(

I remember those cookies by the checkout... Haven't been to Subway in years but those were some damn tasty poisonous little globs of glue -

hi! i love coffee but i like the taste of it and the smell and i like it with no sugar and just a little milk or coffeemate french vanilla. i am new to raw food lifestyle and i can tell you that for now i am not ready to give up my cup of coffee ! but i used to drink 6 mugs a day and i cut it down to 2 tops 3 cups a day. i drink lots of green tea instead. Also- you can google it-. for numbers and more info but, their cups are oversized and are full of empty calories!! my friend stopped drinking their frapucino or whatever(i really dont know how people remember their looooong complicated names lol thats one of the reasons i dont drink their cofee) and she lost 8 lbs! also, 1 up of coffee dehidrates you of 2 cups of water. so i drink 2 cups of water for each cup of coffee i drink a day! another thing- if you have to drink coffee do what i do- i add cinnamon to it! it s sooo yummyyyy!!!! good luck!!

they gossip about which teams are going to trade or sign star players. Most of it is bullshit. They just create rumors to sell papers / get hits. Still I eat it up.

Hi agree with Erin, everything she suggested is very similiar to wha ti have found. I am also seeing an accupuncturist and realize that we actually need cooked foods in our diet to support the spleen. Healing with whole foods is a great start..

I've been doing some "research" on ear candling, and have found three different reports: 1) it's great, feels great, and really helps to clear out the sinuses/lymphs 2) it feels great, but that's just the warmth and it doesn't actually do anything...

I'm feeling deprived; I might have been a little too...early for these books. Sounds like they might be worth checking out though as I love a good children's book. Probably the right emotional level for me...
