Hi
I have just set a load of 'shelled' sunflower seeds in my automatic sprouter, with the hope of growing sunflower greens. I have just been reading around on the net and a few sites have said that 'unshelled' seeds must be used to grow sunflower greens, whereas the shelled variety are only good for sunflower sprouts. Now, my thoughts would be that, if a seed can sprout, it can turn into the full plant....right?
Being a sprouting novice, I wondered if anyone has any experience trying to grow sunflower greens from the shelled seeds and whether it was successful.
Really appreciate any help here :-)
