Give it to me Raw

gabriel cousins recommends eating dark foods at night, which are the colors of the upper chakras (for transitioning to dreamtime). although i avoid eating at night, there are those times when my schedule lingers late and i do want something to eat. this soup i came up with is probably one of those dishes that only a raw-foodie would have the taste for. when i took the first bite i almost shat myself it was so good!

dried black figs
dulse
miso
"earth" powder* (optional)
cilantro
squirt of lemon/lime

* "earth" is a blend of herbs, mushrooms, probiotics, and enzymes. it's the complement to vitamineralgreen, made also by the company health force nutritionals

1. slice 3-4 figs as thinly as possible and start them soaking in just enough body-temperature water to cover them in the bottom of a soup bowl.

2. soak a big handful of dulse in a separate bowl.

3. mix the miso and earth powder into the fig and fig water with a fork until dissolved.

4. drain the dulse so the saltwater runs off, add it to the fig soup

5. chop up some cilantro and add it, along with a squirt of lemon, to the soup. enjoy!

I think that's fascinating. Did you sleep well?

Can you tell me more about Cousens' recommendations regarding food, eating time and colors, and is there a specific book where I can find it? Thanks.
