Im living the 811 way..loving it for the most part except my skin is still mental.
Since being raw, upping the fruit I have all of these little bumps all over my face. Cutting out durian, dates, etc made them less pronounced but they are still all over my face. Its been months n months n months now and my skin is still horrible. Its embarrassing. PLEASE someone tell me the solution? Do all of you other 811ers have good skin?

I am just getting over something like this.In the beginning of raw my skin was awesome with only blemishes when I was getting my period. And I wasn't 811 then. Over the summer I started 811 and my skin improved drastically. Then all of a sudden I started breaking out in patches, not necessarily blemishes even, but little dots underneath the skin -- very strange. I love 811, because it is so easy to just pop fruit and eat 20 bananas esp. if you are active. However, I have a very hard time getting my greens in even if I do make a huge salad AND a green smoothie. And I am not the type of person who can just eat to fuel - it must taste good or else I start to gag. I am also a student so I spend most of my day away from my apt.where I can whip up a smoothie, etc. Recently, I started drinking wheatgrass and that seemed to help a lot.Also, I have had a lot of problems with digestion = poor absorption whether it be greens or fruit. So, I find juicing greens and adding in some of the fiber back into the juice really works. And try washing your face with a light wash and exfoliate only at night. Then apply only coconut oil. I think everyone is different, but issues with the colon and other organs seem to show themselves in the face -- are you overeating? because that seems to effect my skin a lot. Good luck! Just up the greens A LOT!
Thanks Alysha- it sounds like the exactly same bumps as mine. I thought I ate enough greens but now I shall try even more! It definately cannot hurt. I also think I do overeat a fair bit- its hard to know how much I really need to have, especially when I feel Im quite underweight, I am working on it. So your bumps are gone? Can I ask what/how much u generally eat each day?
True, and I have been patient, its just getting ridiculous. Months and months and months of a face full of millions of little bumps takes its toll on ones self-esteem (and social life in general!)
The 811 way of eating pretty much tells me to overeat- we not overeat but eat till full- and for me thats LOTS. Should I try to just deal with the unger and cut down my food amounts?
Sometimes I think things like this happen to make us focus on something else. We may be in an environment where image is too important to be healthy and we need to find a way to explore a side of ourselves that is deeper.
It's funny but a lot of times when a girl feels like she looks horrible- that's when a guy will ask them out or take a chance to talk to them. So image isn't everything. Also bumps can be related to blood sugar issues so taking cinnamon daily could help with that.
Ask yourself how is this helping me- and maybe you will see how it is..
Well guys definately arent asking this bumpy chicky out- and I used to b so confidant and have abundance in that aspect of my life (I know I know, self pity, wa waa).
I like your positive attitude and spin on it, however. For as long as its like this I really should focus on the positive aspects and on gratitude. I guess I'm lonely for love. Since being raw Ive been single..for the first time since I became a teenager pretty much.
Do not eat after six in the evening, do not eat too much, and be careful with the high sugar content. The sugar is often the bad guy when getting skin problems, thats why I think this diet don´t suit me.. if you mainly eat fruits, try eating vegetables in the evening, food that are easy to digest.. and if you still want to eat fruit in the evening, try eat light fruits, for me it is okay some days in the week ( I feel when its right or not) and preferably blend them to cream or smoothie to be even nicer to your stomach.
And last of all! Excercise, without motion in your body, you don´t help it get rid of the bad things perhaps stuck in your body... nothing is as good as fresh air and right food for the skin. Also, positive thoughts :)

I guess the sweeter the fruit the more I feel it feeds me- if it isnt so sweet I get too hungry. I eat a fair amount of bananas and mangoes. For dinner I do have tomatoes, cucumber etc instead though. So what fruits can I eat instead of my bananas and mangoes that will fill me up sufficiently? And how much is eating 'too much" on 811?
Don't eat after six? Really? Did you go through the bumps thing and find this worked?

did you try juicing an onion and using the juice to wash your face, it has astringent properties, could help! just wash really well so you dont smell like onion.
Wow, no I havent. Does this help the tiny bumps or just acne in general? I usually just cleanse with organic coconut oil in the evenings, and a bit of lavender with water after to tone.
