I just came across this advertisement on msnbc.com promoting a resveratrol pill.
There are 2 videos with wild claims.. Check them out if interested..

I think it's just like the omega-3 and antioxidant crazes of days past. Just eat food, people!

I was just ran into this page last night. http://www.news3news.com/ye5.html Interesting stuff. I guess I'll be eating a lot more grapes. =)

It is a helpful antioxidant but you would have to take the entire bottle of bills to get a large enough doses to make a difference

I've been taking resveratrol for over a year now. Read the real research, not from all the new companies catching on now to the craze.

It is as close as we have to the fountain of youth in a pill.
It mimics the benefits of extreme caloric restriction in the body.

I have seen alot of ads for Resveratrol supplements, it looks like a great supplement, and the 60 Minutes segment is pretty interesting. I also saw Oprah's Dr. Oz recommending Resveratrol supplements last week.

I wonder how much resveratrol is found in fresh grape? It seems fresh grape juice would be better than wine.

The supplement I take equals to over 100 glasses of wine.
You can't really get enough resveratrol through food.

I'm not sure that I have felt anything specific to taking this supplement. I take a well rounded amount of things, to pick out what one thing is doing for me will be tough.
I see resveratrol as a behind the scenes kind of supplement.

The highest source of resveratrol is polygonum cuspidatum, also known as Japanese Knotweed. This plant is in the same family as the famed Fo-ti/ho shou wu. Originally from Japan, it is currently growing wild all over Britain and the eastern United states. In Asia it has been used as an anti-viral, anti-bacterial and longevity promoting plant. You can eat the stalks when they are young (tastes like rhubarb) or dig up the roots in the fall and make a tea.
If it grows near you, you can get all the resveratrol that you want for a tiny investment of effort, and for free!
