I have a meeting tomorrow at Columbus Circle and was hoping to get a bite on my way back to the train station. All of the raw restaurants I know are much further downtown.
Does anyone know if there are any in mid-town? I don't need a full meal, a fresh juice and a snack would be fine. I guess I can always go down to the East Village, it would just be easier if I don't have to go too far out of my way.
Hi Eric,
Just to give you some more info...Westerly's is a great place to get a juice and a snack (they also have a little raw prepared food section in the back by the juice bar). The prices aren't bad at all but it's more of a health food store then a place where you can sit down and enjoy your food. Free Foods is awesome but definitely more expensive and "raw gourmet"...however, it's a nice place to sit and enjoy your meal (think Dean and Deluca atmosphere) and the food is really good. Hope that helps : )
Thanks. I've pretty much decided to go to Free Foods. It's right on my way to the station, my friend who wanted to meet for lunch lives a few blocks from there... He doesn't eat raw so if its "raw gourmet" that might scare him off a bit less. Thanks for the advice!

I have not used the stuff for years, it gives me heart palpitations.
but when I did use the stuff my 1st choice was liquid (especially the flavored ones they have like toffee)
2nd choice: white, which is more processed, but I can not even stomach ...
