Give it to me Raw

Hi,

Anyone eating raw egg yolks as part of there diet ?

I was reading about them earlier, and they are actually very nutrient dense, with Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Selenium, and also Vitamin E, zinc, iron, calcium and B Vitamins.

If anyone does eat egg yolks, how do you eat them ?

I was thinking about adding them to olive oil as a dressing, but i dont think it would be good food combining, egg yolks olive oil and salad fruits and vegtables.

Take Care,
Paul.

I crack the egg, seperate the white, gulp the yolk, and then use the white for something else...

I'd use the yolk instead of oil in a dressing, and no fruit in that salad. I think they're also tasty as a dip. You can add herbs like cilatro if you don't enjoy the flavor.

thats great , thanks.

I will have to try just gulping the yolk.

I break it first against the roof of my mouth, so as to avoid such a lump going down the wrong way.

Ya, if you added them to a green smoothie you might not even realize they were in there.

Yup! I get mine from the same farmers' stand where I get my raw dairy and they often only have a couple dz to offer. I can totally tell the taste difference from the EFA "free range vegetarian" egg from Whole Foods. Costs there is about $5 a dz versus $3ish a dz at Whole Foods.

I went out and bought some eggs today,
They are Free range eegs, and they were expensive :( But thats ok.
