i'm going to get my bloodwork done in an hour under my parent's orders, to prove i can be raw and healthy at the same time. it's really not my choice. i think i'm being a healthy raw foodist but for all i know i could come back deficient in something. do any of you have any experience in this? did you get bloodwork? what were your results? any answers would help.. thank you!
raw-better, but make smart wide choice, eat everything prefere veggies but eat a lot, but not to much in once, eat whole day ... da best 5times a day veeeery little (morning fruit more, afternoon more veggies, if raw milk and meat eat it regulary and little portions...(a young wheed is good prevention or green joices, the fresh one even better)...(dont eat too much of nuts and seed, prefere alemands, ( and even more little cashew for selen and seeds for other stuff)... eat wide, bananas, tropical so as local.... but for the digestion the more mono meals the better... greens first, then 3-5 portions of fruit(when sport even more) or avocado(also good source, but ur buddy must turt to fat burning instead of fructose from sugar burning, and thou some prefere fruit, more its faster source of energy)... eat avocado and coconuts and greens as a base and fruit as a desert, and meat and milk thing if so veeeeeeeery little and regulary(if ur body get used to B12 externaly from meat, u have to eat it)... my greatest tried is, fruit (mono until i want in there, the sport, then salate(+coconut milk), and seeds and alemands and others 5 teaspoons a day max. in lunch, one other fruit in afternoon snack, and dinner salate alone, or with coconut milk or meat, or cheach(always i choose, milk and meat, the best i can, no chemicals in the best and raw, from meat i eat fish and wild animals, but i do eat it on fire ouside or boild on water, no extra fat, but no law fat milk but full fat but very little and nonparterised if u can and the freshess u can.)...
so make smart and wild choice, sport and do over eat sugar and fat and ull be fine....(if u add fruit eat one portion or two per hour, so ur sugar is stable and u dont become insuline resistante and liver problem(happens to people who eat not just fruit and overload fruit),i add agave syrup or just banana in tea, and raw cacao and even a wine raw but i do not overload it, eat slow and enjoy it any time i want, sometimes i day or two fast, if i feel not balance, to get to balance again...
Is is just me or does it seem like everyone besides us is crazy? I'm not 100% but I'm pretty close... nonetheless it's pretty easy to understand that raw foods are the best source of food you can eat. People who eat junk food on a regular basis will straight up bash raw foodists and call them unhealthy... it's ridiculous! For some strange reason our culture has been brainwashed so bad from doctors and the processed food industry that they think eating nothing but healthy food is unhealthy...hmmmmmmmm.
and this is a true test of whether or not your diet is bringing you up to speed in regards to deficiencies, etc.
I know a lot of raw foodies who have clinical deficiencies. many ignore them because of an aversion to the whole institution of modern healthcare (considering the tests themselves flawed and vbiased). some just think those tests are wrong.
that said, the clinically healthiest raw foodies i've met personally do the following things to make sure to avoid deficiencies: a probiotic supplement (the probiotics produce a lot of the B vitamins we need in the intestines so it minimizes deficiency - miso or another fermented food like kefir is just as good if not better), a B multivitamin - for the aforementioned deficiencies, and they juice greens EXTENSIVELY (dark greens being the lb for lb nutrition champ of hte plant kingdom).
here is the reasoning. humans simply lack the capacity to digest plant cell walls. interestingly enough, while cooking food kills some of its nutrition, it assists in breaking down cell walls so that the nutrition therein is more bioavailable. if you're not chewing your raw food to a pulp in your muth (even cows regurgitate and chew again to gain full nutritional value) then you're not getting everything you take it. logic then stands to reason that you need to take a lot more in in order to stave off deficiency.
that said, good luck with things. I wish you all the best.
thanks so much! i appreciate the advice. but, about miso, how would one eat that raw? the miso i've seen is incredibly salty and i couldn't imagine consuming it alone.. but maybe that's not raw miso?
yeah miso is really salty. the way the fermentation process works is that the high salt content essentially creates a selective environment for certain types of friendly microorganisms while preventing the baddies from growing in it.
miso is often used as a condiment or component of things, like say carrot miso ginger dressing - or use it to replace salt when making a dip or spread.
I know it's too late, but if my parents had insisted, I would have also insisted that THEY get blood work done too so it can be compared. If you have a couple of deficiencies, it might mean anything (you could have been far worse off when you were SAD).
People often don't understand that MANY people are deficient on a so called 'normal' diet, so looking exclusively at the blood work of a raw fooder and seeing some deficiencies isn't exactly proof they are eating an unhealthy diet. Better to compare it to some SAD fooders as well. Some deficiencies take time to return to healthy amounts. You can always look at any deficiencies in a constructive manner (i.e. what can I add more of in my diet to help get enough of this nutrient?).
I've been doing some "research" on ear candling, and have found three different reports:
1) it's great, feels great, and really helps to clear out the sinuses/lymphs
2) it feels great, but that's just the warmth and it doesn't actually do anything...

I'm feeling deprived; I might have been a little too...early for these books. Sounds like they might be worth checking out though as I love a good children's book. Probably the right emotional level for me...
