Give it to me Raw

Hi Lovahs!

So, my boy Niel and I are going to be travelling next year and would love to meet as many raw foodies as possible. We also are on a tight budget and would be ever grateful to anyone who could offer us their couch for short periods! Especially in the US where it is just so expensive to stay anywhere. Of course when we get back to Australia you are most welcome to stay at ours in return! :)

I'm from Malaysia but have lived in Oz for ages, Niel is from South Africa and is living in Taiwan, where we met. So truly international! We love doing yoga, eating mostly raw (Niel just turned vegan) and just having awesome convos and hanging out with spiritually inclined people who care about the earth! Music is a must too of course :)

Here's where we're headed and approximate dates:

* March 25th to April 8th :- New York City

* April 8th to April 21st :- Driving from NYC to SF via Indiana, Chicago, Wyoming etc (I think it's route 80)- this is flexible of course! And we'd love to catch rides with anyone who is headed that way! RAW ROAD TRIP! May take 3 weeks instead of 2, depending.

* April 21st to May 3rd :- San Francisco!

* May 3rd to May 9th :- Green Tortoise Bus Tour

* May 9th to 13th :- Some time in SF and will fly to Arizona

* May 13th to 17th :- Spring Liquid Love Festival at Eden Hot Springs, Arizona

* May 18th to May 28th :- Tree of Life 10 Day Detox Program in Patagonia, Arizona (not sure yet as v. expensive, would be a splurge!)

* 29th, 30th, 31st of May :- Earthship Workshop in Tuscon, Arizona (free, by the way!)

* Drive from Arizona to San Diego/ OC

* May 31st to June 4th :- San Diego + the OC

* Travel to Santa Barbara by road (is this hard?)

* June 5th to 7th :- Raw Spirit Festival, Santa Barbara, California

Then after that we are heading to the Galapagos for a volunteer stint, then take a boat to Manaus in Brazil, 1 month each in Brazil and Argentina, hope to get on a cruise to Antartica (gonna blow a hole in our budget so probably not, but I can dream right?) then Buenos Aires over to London/ Dublin, do Europe, possibly try to get to Egypt and the Middle East but hey that is like 2010 so not thinking too much about that now!!

We would love to meet you and hang out! And would be so so so grateful to be able to crash at your place for a couple nights!

Thanks Embodiments of Love!!
Peace, Love and Light
Miin

Hey! That sounds wonderful, looks like you'll be in SF the same time we'll be in that area and though we don't have our schedule completely planned out a lot of your CA/AZ stuff coincides with ours. Let's keep in touch!

im living in ireland though on the other side of the country from dublin. dont know if you are going to do more of ireland or just dublin, but hit me up if you are out this way. i live in county kerry, on the coast, which is amazingly beautiful. ALSO, freeloaders.com

dear kaybee!
yes we'd love to do lots of ireland, niel is of irish heritage and feels a great connection with ireland! i also am a huge fan of irish music!! the frames are one of my all time fave bands and damien rice's gig in melbourne was probably one of my top 3 gigs ever. and i love the fiddle... i need to learn it. funnily enough two of my good mates in taiwan (one from PEI in canada and the other from new mexico) played irish fiddle!!
your place sounds amazing and THANK YOU so much for the offer! i really do hope to take you up on it!!

I may have an apartment out an San Diego during the time you are planning on being out there. Im headed to Hawaii first, from Feb- May, maybe longer. Which is why I am unsure if I will be back in time. If so, your more than welcome too :)

Besides that, are you familiar with wwoof? checkout www.wwoofusa.org

There are wwoof programs all over the world, that is just for US. wwoof australia has a lot of farms.

This is how I am traveling/living in hawaii. I'm working on farms, traveling the islands via bike, and hitching rids on houseboats to all of the islands. I don't plan on spending a dime, only to get out there. Actually, I heard about a plan that costs $150 from cali to hawaii. Ultra cheap!!

HI darlings!
I'm really sad to have to write this, but Niel and I cannot go to the US anymore. He had his US Visa Interview this morning in Taipei and they refused to give him a visa (for no good reason by the way, and they only asked him two questions, didn't bother reading all the paperwork we had prepared and were really rude.. what is with that? argh!). I'm really sad as I was looking forward to meeting you guys and seeing what the Raw scene is like. But everything happens for a reason! We are going to the Philippines instead to do an Ecovillage Design Education Course... :)

However, we'd love to see any of you if you're in any of the other places we're going to!
Lots of love and peace and Happy New Year!

Haha! Probably Charles! I actually bought this dress at the spirit fest because it was on sale and made from 100% organic hemp. The rest of the clothes I brought were pretty grubby. :)
