Rap kids don't eat vegetables
I just can't believe that.
I mean, come on, I love rap music. Always have and always will - I surround my world with music. Rap has always been at the top; followed by reggae, jazz, folk, blues, Brazillian dance muisc (that I can't remember the specific name)...
It's like hip hop isn't really trying to get my love for raw food and my raw food isn't trying to hear my love for rap.
BUT WAIT - there's hope!
I teach nutrition classes in the city and we made smoothies with fruit and some veggies: carrots, beets, and kale.
I'm having all the kids cut up the ingredients and put them in the blender. As they are all sampling the shake one of the most gully students says, "Maan, these carrots go hard!"
I could not have been more elated about it. My brotha....
So, who are you listening to? Any good rap from where you're at?

I've certainly heard reference of them more than a few times. I just never looked them up.
