Give it to me Raw

A friedn of mine rang me recently to tell me of yet another of her old friends who is dying from cancer. Now what odd is that these people where hippies, the original ones, and they were mostly vegans, they had small holdings, they were very free thinking and relaxed, very chilled.....of course they had problems in their lives but above all they were new agers, into health foods etc etc

However the thing that connected them was pot..they grew it and smoked it...now of her friends who didnt smoke, they are mostly fine, and no deaths so far.....

What I am saying is...please think about NOT ever smoking pot as its carcenogenic, and much worse than ordinary cigarrettes....it increases your chances of cancer.

These were healthy eating, lean looking, fit people..or they should have been, but they are dying or they have died, at age 55 to 60....she was in tears as its getting so that she is just waiting for the next old friend to ring her and tell they have cancer too.

Please is if your 20 to 35 have good hard think about it as thats the time when it effects you most and you will store up trouble for later....

I don't toke anymore, but if I did, it would only be alone, in my comfy bedroom. :-)

....you can always eat with no smoking and still feel the effects.

maybe pot isn't the main culprit
LSD was popular too.. and is seems like it would be more cancer causing that pot
Terrance Mckenna died of brain cancer and I think it was the psychedelics that may have caused it
not pot :s

You can also make thc-spray, for example by solving the stuff in alcohol. I am testing it right now.

This week I am gonna test it solo (I also justed to eat cake with cannabis..) and will let know..

this might be a silly question, but it's done in alcohol, so do you spray it in your mouth? or on your skin? if either of those, does the alcohol hurt you? this is interesting...

* Yes, you spray it in the mouth, it is directly absorbed sublingual...

* Your intuition is ok, I heard you can also use it on your skin (inside of your wrists..), but I never tried that, I also like the mildly "high" feeling, which you won't get via the skin I suppose..

* I also will try the spray solved in water, in order to compare with spraying in the mouth.
Probably in water it works different, going partly to the digestive system.
They also are working on a kind of vaporiser, especially for the spray

* We have a sauna in Amsterdam, where it is allowed to smoke cannabis one day a week.
There is a guy bringing a vaporiser that day (working with air in plastic bag..) , very cool combined with sauna!

* I also gonna test chewing cannabis, compared to the spray.
* This year, we are gonna make the best raw cannabis chocolate cake ever...

Volcano vaporizer is an alternative for those who wish to continue using.

Listened to these last night. Really interesting info on cannabinoids and how they work in our bodies.

Mogwai, thank God for your post. You've said it all.

When people are in their teens and twenties they are very easily taken in by some of the arguments for pot-smoking I've seen in the replies on this thread.

Thirty years later either the scales have fallen from their eyes, or they are addicted, and their health has been adversely affected.

And for those who will say pot isn't addictive...hogwash.

Smoking anything is unnatural and unhealthful. Burning a plant, then inhaling the toxins created from that, along with smoke, is harmful. Whatever 'benefits' people think it delivers are by far outweighed by the dangers.

Page One, really...should be obvious to a health-seeker, but seemingly isn't to everyone.

And I do have a great deal of experience of what I speak.

I like to do fasts as well and I think the power in fasting is that its a remedial action, one part of the process of purifiying. For instance if you feel you have a lot of non-virtuous residue or spiritual obstacles to remove, you generate regret...

don't agree with the whole raw food creating a damp environment thing because of the wildly different effects of different raw foods. i've found candida to respond to 100% raw, several different approaches.
