Give it to me Raw

A friedn of mine rang me recently to tell me of yet another of her old friends who is dying from cancer. Now what odd is that these people where hippies, the original ones, and they were mostly vegans, they had small holdings, they were very free thinking and relaxed, very chilled.....of course they had problems in their lives but above all they were new agers, into health foods etc etc

However the thing that connected them was pot..they grew it and smoked it...now of her friends who didnt smoke, they are mostly fine, and no deaths so far.....

What I am saying is...please think about NOT ever smoking pot as its carcenogenic, and much worse than ordinary cigarrettes....it increases your chances of cancer.

These were healthy eating, lean looking, fit people..or they should have been, but they are dying or they have died, at age 55 to 60....she was in tears as its getting so that she is just waiting for the next old friend to ring her and tell they have cancer too.

Please is if your 20 to 35 have good hard think about it as thats the time when it effects you most and you will store up trouble for later....

Mushrooms are part of what brought me to raw foods, actually. While under their influence, raw fruits and veg were the only food that appealed, and I wondered about that. I eventually brought that realization into my daily life, it was so profound for me.

I didn't used to be able to meditate at all, until during a strong mushroom trip, I knelt down into a submissive posture in front of a table, which became a vast landscape of Being. I was losing my ego; it was turbulent until I closed my eyes and suddenly found a single point of stillness within my Self. I existed there for what seemed like forever, in golden harmony, changing every color in the rainbow. It was beautiful. Now I love to meditate while sober, and especially on a psychedelic.

Mushrooms are a work of art by the Creator, for me. "Communing with God" does not put it any better way. They are who helped connect me with my sacred Other, the Divine Self...

They totally changed me for the better. I was a sad, depressed, self-destructive individual when I took them for the first time, about five years ago now. I had no guide other then the internet and researched for months. I don't even know what led me to take them at all, except that I wanted to see if I could expand my mind. I got that and sooo much more. I was raised by strict fundamentalist Christians who were cultlike and made god seem like a mean dude up the sky. I rejected god my entire life as a result. Mushrooms opened me up to Spirit, connected me with the truth of what GOD really Is. My entire programming was wiped clean. I was reborn. I went backwards through my karma, experienced my soul's journey through eternity. I have spent countless trips on my knees, weeping in gratitude for my very existence, for the privilege and gift of just Being, in total astonishment and awe...and loving that which Is Being, and feeling it love me back, absolutely, unconditionally, beautiful, forever-love. I have felt "myself" melt away into nothing, only to become everything.

I can't say enough positive things about my mushroom experiences. They are powerful tools to awaken consciousness. They seem to have an intelligence of their own at times, a message they seek to convey, a guidance they wish to show. It is unique for everyone, as it is the person who makes the trip what it is. The mushrooms are a catalyst, are mysterious, and profound, a grand adventure into the spirit world, and back. They need to be treated with the utmost of respect...but I consider them to be my friends. I will never be the same. I trust them, because I trust my Self. I trust love; I have come to see it is the reason why we exist at all.

Each trip I took, there was a particular "raw food" that I explored. Carrots and apples and watermelon and grapes. To this day, when I take mushrooms, I love having new fruits on hand to sample, and explore. It's delightful. It took me years to go raw. I had a lot of life to experience in the meantime before I was ready to commit to the raw lifestyle. I really owe it to my mushroom experiences for helping to guide me in this direction.

Juliano also said he saw the light of raw foods from taking mushrooms. Funny enough, he was the first raw foodist I ever saw. I watched him on TV when I was 15 and marveled at how bright and energetic he looked.

yes its good stuff if usedas medicinal or occasional ceremonial etc...its the over doing it and clogging up of a persons system thats not healthy, like with anything..ordinary smoking etc...its a wonderful plant and its the way and the quantity that over the last 50 years has made it danger ous for peoples health.

If your a meditator, and trained, then breathing in a non fuggy polluted way isnt going to do the same as 8 roll ups a day and getting a spaced out head.

In Buddhist tantra its not allowed I read a Guru Rinpoche terma and its specific that it clouds the senses, and induces false realisations, but most importantly it blocks the nadis, the channels and the chakras (this isnt new age stuff), it slowly shuts a person down over time as they become clouded, and need it to function....

If you smoke a joint when you wake up, one mid morning, after lunch , the afternoon, evening etc, then thats far to much and it will become harmful...if its once at the weekend to relax thats not a problem as long as your system can clean itsself over the week from the toxins.

drop the drugs and get high on a bike or trampoline or diving board. ok wait a sec- i remember when i was diving competitively, sometimes i would smoke before doing my flips and spins, i think it helped my diving grace, and became a state champion in California. but sometimes i would drink wine before diving- not smart. (kinda fun though)
not anymore
no drink no smoke. and im getting back into diving. im way more flexible and way stronger and expect to easily surpass my previous accomplishments when i was a high fat raw vegan and occasional (weed)smoker/drinker. although it was occasional, it is still too much, and doesn't belong there at all. the realms of experience without those drugs is undeniably and absolutely greater. its also good for the self confidence to be able to be around it quite a bit and easily pass the cheap temptation of it, when everyone else is doing it. im in Miami right now, and we went to a few parties tonight, people drinking smoking, coking, and who's not? me and my raw crew and why dont I do it? IM JUST TOO COOL WITHOUT IT!

it is SOO COOL! im pretty excited. the last few times i smoked, it wasn't amazing and i wonder why i would settle for anything less. it does real good for some people i think, but hinders my social accessibility.
