Give it to me Raw

I've seen pletny of cats eat the placenta right after giving birth. It sounds gross to put it in a smoothie, though, lol! I've taken a Chinese formula that had deer placenta in it- it is a very potent jing tonic, high in IgF 1 and good for severly depleted people. It did help me.

There was a new product that David Wolfe was offerring made from deer antler that could help depleted people and he said reverse male pattern baldness. I have seen mother dogs eat placenta after the birth. It helps them recover, and start lactating.

Yeah it probably was a survival method for human mothers as well. Especially if they didn't have much help with the birth. It may help with pain as well. The dog seemed to get calm after she ate it.

i have seen mother dogs/cats eat placenta too. it seems natural instinct. must be healthy for them or something they need to recuperate.

It seems that in nature, it would be unheard of to waste a source of amazing nutrition like that - to just let it rot or something...

David Wolfe cracks me up with his "new" products, which are usually just very ancient formulas. Deer Antler Velvet really is great stuff- I took it about 9 years ago to help heal leaky gut and I ended up with better muscle tone as a nice side effect;)
I noticed that the hot new formula he's pushing is $148/oz!! You can get extremely high quality extract for $75/oz. Buyer beware, LOL! BTW- the stuff I took (Planetary Formulas) can be purchased at vitacost.com for very cheap;)

Thanks or the heads up Erin. I would love to try that. I think he said it was a jing tonic. Someone asked in class how do you know you need it- and he said YOU'LL KNOW!

Was it an immune thing fo you Erin? What does jing really mean to you?

Jing is our physical essence, stored in the kidney meridian. It is the most foundational of the three substances we are made of -jing, qi (energy) and shen (spirit/mind). In order to cultivate strong qi or shen, you first have to have strong jing. It is said that we die when our jing runs out. Jing also contains our DNA blueprint.

Signs of jing deficiency in adults are things like premature aging of the skin and hair loss/graying, impotence, loss of sex drive, infertility. Also wasting, debilitated states, etc.

Severe adrenal fatigue can lead to jing loss- when the kidney meridian is stressed for a long time (as mine was) that is always a danger. Children can be born jing deficient, which will result in things like mental retardation, birth defects, improper closing of the fontanelle, poor skeletal development, etc.

Placenta and antler velvet really are the two big guns, as far as jing tonics go. If you need jing tonics, you'll know because you'll feel pretty crappy, LOL! You can still take them even if you don't need them- you can take them periodically for maintenance.

I have a friend who had hers shaped into a coil and dried.... it is so pretty and translucent, you can see the dried pathways of the veins

I ate my son's placenta.

We froze it and had a horror themed party, thawed it out, marinated it with soy sauce and fried it up (this was before I was raw). Tasted like I remember beef tasting, quite nice. No animal was harmed in the making of the food (we'll except me, but that was already going to happen!).

When we asked for the placenta at the hospital, the midwife said 'aw that's lovely... are you going to plant it under a tree?'

'Um... sure' we replied.

since I find no reason to believe in 'allergies' against 'natural' appropriate stuff, I would think it's more likely just the fact that pineapple if bought in store is pretty much always unripe. Not that it matters to the situation perhaps. ...but...

Yes ma'am. Resting as completely as possible with eyes closed; getting enough water; avoiding too much sun; avoiding toxic substances (personal care products, cleaning products, etc.)

Hey Michele! We fast 8-10 people per year for 6 weeks and most of them have amazing experiences. Incidentally, though some people imagine there's a need to "work up" to a long fast like this, many are fasting this long for the first time; in fact,...
