One thing you should be careful of is to identify yourself with the dominant culture. People say we're in Iraq. Well, we're not. American forces are in Iraq and Afghanistan. I'm in front of my computer. So are you. We're having silly conversations about raw foods. You and I haven't killed anyone.
However, we and everyone else in this country are responsible only to the degree that we allow these atrocities to continue. Every modern day president has been a mass murderer, yet we salute them and allow them to stay in power. It's ridiculous. Four days into his presidency, Obama sent planes to bomb a village in Afghanistan. It was mostly women and children who died. The media barely reported it. Meanwhile, some guy in Fort Hood, Texas starts shooting up the joint and it's front page news. I pose the question: what's the difference?
