Over population. What's your solution?
I spoke to a doctor recently; I asked him why cancer and several other diseases were not being cured but instead treated. He looked me in the eyes and said "Because if we cured people then there would be no population control, and we can't have that." He went on to say that the medical industry is very aware of the problems that are created by the foods people eat, and then stated it was also in fact intentional to some degree.
So why is this happening? The answer is simple, we're over populated.
The food demand has vastly exceeded the supply so companies such as the FDA have passed laws, rules and regulations that allow certain products to be "injected" into the foods we eat. This has become allowable because the injected product(s) give longer shelf life and better taste to foods that normally lack nutrients, value and sustainability.
I’ve asked myself the question over and over “where is the solution” and the answer, as I see it, is simple “Educate people on the pro’s and con’s of having children” If people slowed the breeding patter by 1/3 for 3 years we could regain the value of everything we have already lost in the foods we eat.
Is this even possible? Can people set aside their needs and wants of having a child for 3 years? No, this has already proven impossible, and they don’t have to, they just need to thin their litters. Instead of having 2-3 kids they can have one.
I have more to say, but would enjoy hearing everyone’s view on this first.

It seems the lovely "Nikki" got cold feet and ran from this thread. In one sentence she was preaching about not being invalidated and the next she's invalidatig herself with false facts, I guess I don't really blame her. :(

I have to agree with the guy,and It's also sad to me how the newscaster tried to turn this into a racial issue. Ilegal immigration is illegal immigration. There is a reason "illegal" is the first word in the phrase. If 90% of those Illegal's are mexican than so be it, if they are Chinese then so be it, etc. etc. why is one condemed for speaking th truth?

In answer to Burke's original question,
I believe that when highly conscious people recognize that overpopulation and overuse of limited resources from the earth has led to environmental destruction, pollution and the global food crisis we are currently entering, then they will choose to have no children or only one or two per couple.
Adoption would then become the status quo for anyone who cannot naturally conceive. Planned Parenthood is on the frontlines of this issue by educating women and families about reproduction and how to plan the size of your family instead of having a bunch of oops! babies. I agree that education is the answer and consciousness is the other piece required.

Agreed, but the problem is that while those highly conscious people are making highly conscious decisions, most people are breeding exponentially.

No, I think it could all be managed properly through education. Pay teachers more, and give kids and parents more insentive to go to school.
I think some people get so down and depressed they seek out anything they can to make themselves feel better, thus children. If they were poperly educated and had more pride and self worth they would be more into themselves, their career and their goals as an adult and professional. Children would then come, but bettering themselves would come first. I think that woud iron it all out.
Just my thoughts.

Also, introduce tax breaks for people with no kids. Tax more depending on who has more kids. Also, offer free abortions, birth control, and vasectomies to lower-income people.

The premise of this thread isn't to kill people off. It's to curb the birth rate to prevent the population growth from further exceeding our limited natural resources.

Whenever i hear or read the word overpopulation i think of more rooms, houses, and land. And where do we get more of these? How bout waterworlds? How bout new dimensions where people are working in fields with bridges and wooden fortressess. How about a new continent? We just got to direct a high level of vision and love intensity. There are new planets to be explored in the right frequency. I hear Venus has got a great community.
Definitley if we keep giving birth to the same conscious beings as the fda the earth is in trouble. Everybody needs to do lots of energy breathing. Raise the new lands, ceremony with a new civilzation on different planets in higher frequencies. A New Paradigm is Upon Us

The problem, that I feel exists, with population is so much more than that. With more people, there is need of more food (cattle, chickens, poultry, sheep, etc. etc.) and that food needs land to exists and more importantly food and water to exists. So it's not just about the rapid expansion of people, its about the rapid expansion of everything that has to do with being a person... housing, land, employment, vechicles, water, polution, global warming, etc. etc. etc. etc. People often fail to open their eyes to any of this when you say "population problem" all they think about is a single person being born, then they are so on the defence of defending their right to have them they loose track of everything that not only encopasses a new life but how it effects those around them as well.
Here in LA we are on manditory water laws, the reason is because there are more people that demand water then there is water. Is that a water problem or population problem?
